These are my favorite pants

finally something for the curvy girls. I am all hips, thighs and tush. Typically I find pants too tight in the thighs and too loose in the waist. These are perfect! baggy enough to accommodate my thighs. The waist clench is perfect to accommodate for the smaller waist so I won't get the gap in the back of the pants. if you are anywhere near curvy or bottom heavy, these are the pants for you. If you are not, stick with the regular fit pants you might find these too big. also go two sizes down from your typical Arcteryx size for these.

Not as good as last season

I love my Clarkia pants from last year, ordered another pair and was disappointed with the change to material and construction. The last design felt worth the whole $180, these do not. There were also slight changes to the fit. The waist did not sit very high and fit tighter in the midriff even though I ordered the same size. The material was much lighter and had a crunchy feeling compared to the durable and soft cotton in the last iteration. I’ve included a photo of the old waistband (green) vs the new waistband (black). The old style was overall better constructed with a more thoughtful design. This is the best example. Bummed out!

Best climbing/hiking pants ever !

Overall these are the best pants I have bought for climbing. I personally am a climber who prefers to climb in shorts due to the feeling of being confined or stiff in pants. However these pants I find myself wanting to wear every session. Not only is the design flattering, they are breathable and very movable. When it comes to fit I listened to the reviews and purchased a size down from my normal. For reference I am 5’3 and usually wear a 25 jean, or size 2/4 in lululemon. However I bought a size 00 short. These fit absolutely perfectly. The length is just above my ankles. I may purchase a size 0 for a more baggy look in the future but ensure you review the sizing before purchasing!

The Clarkia pants would be even more amazing in a cotton version like the Kragg pants 😃. I love the fit and the wide leg makes them super stylish. They do run big, I took a size down but would not go smaller. More colours please!

Comfiest pants on the planet!

These are super comfy, very versatile and look great. I am 5'9 150lbs athletic build and I purchased 4T. The length is perfect for my 33" inseam but the waist is quite roomy for a size 4. I have multiple variations of the gamma pant in 4T so I chose the same size. I could have easily sized down if 2T was available. I echo other comments about more sizes available and just more inventory - give the people the pants more pants! And more colours!

MAKE MORE

These pants are obviously incredibly popular, as evidenced by the great reviews and sold out sizes. To echo another reviewer's comment about lacking inventory, it's very frustrating to order what I would think is my normal size (6S), but by the time it arrives and realize I should have gotten 4S, it's completely sold out in every color. I get that exclusivity makes a brand cool but could you just, like, make some more? We'll happily pay.

White Colorway is See Through

The white colorway of the Clarkia pants are pretty see through when you bend over. You definitely need to wear a base-layer or nude colored underwear. I like these pants, but I like the Clarkia cottons more. These are very light and good for the summer, but the tradeoff is that they lack structure.

Love the pants; hate Arcteryx stock quantity

I bought a pair last year, and came to order another after the in stock notification only to find ally the small sizes are immediately sold out. Please make more in smaller sizes!!! It's incredibly disappointing to get a notification that these pants are in stock, only to find everything is sold out in your size. Given the sizing is way off for these pants (size down at least one size) I would think you would stock more smaller sizes... Also please make these in size 2-T. It's awesome you've started providing different lengths, but some sizes are still not supported. Thanks!

Extremely comfortable, versatile pant

Love this pant. I use it for indoor bouldering/climbing, but also for hiking and everyday wear. The wide leg and stretch make this a really comfortable pant for a lot of activities. The fabric also feels very durable, although I haven't tested them on outdoor climbing yet.

Cute & Comfy

I’m so glad I trusted the other reviews that praised these pants! I’m 175cm with an athletic, curvy build, and finding outdoor pants that fit well is usually a challenge—most are awkwardly tight in the legs and too loose in the waist. I'm between sizes 8 and 10 in Arc'teryx, but I decided to go with the R8 on the Clarkia pant. Like many others have mentioned, I could have also sized down even twice due to the roomy waist, but I actually love the intended relaxed fit, and the built-in belt makes it easy to adjust the waist as needed. I think the taller version could've also been okay for my height, but luckily the regular length looked nice as well. These pants offer a cute and current look that's perfect for a casual office setting, while still being incredibly comfortable and truly functional for hardcore climbing, light hiking and beyond. I'll be doing some backpacking this year and plan on bringing only the Clarkia pant with me as an all-arounder :) Can't say anything about the quaity of the product, but everything looks and feels great so far.

Roomy and comfortable

These pants are great for the crag! They are loose fitting around the thighs and legs, but the waistband is adjustable to allow for security and comfort where needed. The material is also very durable, so you don't need to worry if you tend to hug the wall.

My favorite climbing pants

The Clarkia Pants have quickly become some of my favorite climbing pants! They offer great flexibility, making it easy to move on any terrain. I especially love the adjustable waistband for a custom fit and the baggier leg for breathability. 10/10 would recommend !

Comfy, Durable and Versatile

Love the Clarkias! The pants offer both style and mobility on and off the climbing wall. I love the pocket placement, as they are easy to access when my harness is on. They are incredibly durable and have withstood exposure to rock overtime. They are incredibly comfortable, and look great for casual outings outside of sport as well. You could downsize these from your regular size depending on how baggy you want your fit. Truly stoked on these!

Clarkia Wide legged pants

I am editing my previous review after wearing the Clarkia pants a few days. I love the pants, the coolest design thus far. My one complaint is that they are so much larger than the stated measurements that I didn’t order the correct size and by the time I realize it, the smaller sizes are sold out. I wish Arcteryx would consider restocking them in both color in the smaller sizes, 0-S, 2-S, or 0-R.

Cute wide leg Clarkia pants.

This is Arcteryx's first wide legged hiking pants that I thought were so cool. The sizing is so off. Reading the reviews, I ordered 2 sizes below my usual size 6 which was huge. After ordering 3 separate times, I was not able to get what I feel my size would be, a size 0-S. Size 0-R fits at the waist but the pant legs are too baggy and in the hip and the butt area. I think Arcteryx should consider giving the measurements of the pant for each size instead of the measurements of the body. The pant is well made with sturdy but attractive material.

Exposing

The fit is nice and wide as advertised. However, back pockets have no zip. The pocket bag is made of mesh, so the underwear is visible through the pocket opening when you squat or bend forward. May be beneficial for ventilation, but would have been nice to have options.

Lovely cut but sizing needs a major adjustment

Trying these on, the cut is really nice, preferable to the other trousers in the range, with a slightly higher waist and more flattering cut around the back with nice shaped pockets. The loose legs are also a bit more comfy and casual for bouldering or a relaxed walk compared to the very technical looking alternatives in the range. However, I bought these in my usual size 2R, the same as all my Arc'teryx leggings, and found that they were far, far too big. The waist was about 6 inches too big even with the adjustment. I bought the Gamma pants at the same time, which I ended up sizing down to a 0R, but these were so much bigger comparatively I would need to go down two sizes to 00R. This means I can't speak to their durability, warmth, wind protection or long term performance as unfortunately the smaller size hasn't been in stock to reorder. The fabric is quieter and a little softer than the Fortius 2.0 of the Gammas, and feels a little thicker/heavier, possibly just because they hang more comfortably.

Comfortable and versatile

Didn't think I would like the style but the in-store product guide talked about the comfort and range of motion they can offer while climbing so I tried them on. A new go to for me for sure. Has a little adjustable tab for the waist, and two snaps for added security. I took my usually size, since it has a baggier style you could comfortably size down in them in you wanted but I find staying true to size was more flattering

close to perfection

There are not many wide fit pants made of thin material on the market. and the Clarkia pant are close to achieving perfection. I only have one point of concern, which is unfortunately major; the waistband needs to be far more adjustable than it is. The full circled waistband of the Gamma line is far superior to this one sided pull adjustment. Further, despite considerable length on the side adjustment, only a few inches of this adjustment are actually usable and then the cord flares out to large stitched tab that acts as a hard stop. I preferred the cut of these pants in Size 8 and had to size down to Size 6 and still the waistband does not adjust quite to what I want. Despite this fairly major flaw, the pants are still fantastic. Nice flowy cut, low rise, well thought out pockets, thin but durable fabric that dries quick, mesh ventilation in the back pockets, ankle cinches, these pants have everything, save this darned waistband.

Curvy girl holy grail

As a girly blessed with tree trunk legs & a smaller wais, it’s hard to find pants that fit right!! Wide leg is perfect so they still fit in my waist. I am usually an 8-10 and went with a 10 for comfort. Planning on wearing them hiking in Switzerland! I only wish the fabric was a bit softer, it feels a little scratchy. Also pls make more colors!! I’m 5’9” and got regular length, they sit at the top of my boots which was the goal.

wicked cool

I bought a size 0R and usually wear a 25/26 in pants and jeans. I think they do a run big…maybe go down 1 or 2 sizes. They are so sick. I bought them in the green color and need in black but they are out of stock. I am also 5’3 and they hit the back of my heel. Cinched or rolled once still looks so cute! Must buy.
