Kopec GTX Shoe Men's

These shoes look good but like the Kopec boots I found the fabric very ‘stiff’. I also found that they run a tad narrow which restricts which socks I can wear, certainly not giving toes ‘room to splay’ as advertised in the spec

Great shoe for hiking and rainy weather and it is a very comfortable shoe.

I used this shoe on a month long trip to New Zealand where we climbed several peaks and trekked. It held up to river crossings, scree bashing and was quite good climbing through 4th class terrain. Comfy fit right out the box, I highly recommend it!

This shoes could be prefect thanks to his rugged material and the lightweight but it will better if there is more thickness around the ankle. The shoes move up and down and that’s why i can’t rate 4 or 5 stars. My ankle is not supported enough for intensive long hike because of this lack of material. However, the quality of the shoes is high and I’m happy to have it for other purpose. Please, put a buckle on the back to be able to tie them with a carabiner.

This is my second pair of Arcteryx trail shoes. I have used them for one trail hike so far and they were comfortable from the start. The shoes fitted well on my feet staying firm on rough ground and the Vibram soles stuck to the rocks. So far so good.

Great construction, design and functionality. Dressy enough.

Little disappointed in recent Kopec GTX shoe purchase. I am a previous owner of Aerios GTX shoes which I wore for 2 years and loved and recently bought the Kopec for what I thought was an upgrade. I have 2 key issues with the Kopec. Issues 1. Comfort a. With the harder Vibram sole material (which I know is an upgrade over Aerios for rocks), the Kopec feels like walking on a block of concrete with the cheaper insole in the Kopec. The softer Vibram sole of the Aerios were fine with the lesser insole, but not with the Kopec’s harder sole. b. I put my Brooks Ghost running shoe insoles in the Kopec and they felt like a completely different shoe and 100X more comfortable. Plan to invest in a different insole with these shoes. c. Arcteryx - I would highly recommend upgrading the insole on the Kopec for future models d. With the move to round laces, they are definitely more likely to come lose vs the flat running shoe style laces. One additional hole for the laces would help and or a speed lace option would be useful. 2. Finishing on top of shoe a. There is a finishing issue on the top of the shoe left of the top hole for the laces. The end is not finished. I thought the issue was with my pair, but the actual pictures from the website show the unfished spot and other reviews with images also have noted the issue. b. I included images of the unfished areas on both sides of the shoe and the actual image from your website to show the unfinished spot. I like the look of the Kopec, the build quality seems good other than the finish issue at the top and the subpar insole. Has more of a feel of a tougher hiking boot. Might be worth it to wait for the next version of this shoe in terms of fit and finish issues with this new internally designed model.
