Gamma Tapered Bukse Dame

I own the regular gamma pants, but I prefer a more fitted look. So, I opted for the tapered version, and now these pants have become a staple in my wardrobe :) I've worn them during long multipitch climbing adventures in the alpine, backpacking, bouldering at the gym, and just hanging out at the crag. They are incredibly durable, having withstood tight chimney climbing without any abrasion. Additionally, they are lightweight and comfortable. Bonus points for being stylish and versatile enough for wearing around town. As a curvy petite gal, I chose the 0 Petite/Short size, and they fit perfectly. I love them and only wish there were a wider color selection!

They are okay. Thinner material than the gamma pant. The rise is a kind of a mid- rise just below the belly button on me. I have an apron belly so I'd rather have a high rise or low rise as a mid just cuts in. Also found the inseam was too short for me( 5"9). If you want a tapered gamma lightweight these would be a good option. Very stretchy ! Bought size 16, 5"9 230lbs

Wow. The first time I put these pants on I felt like they were made specifically for me. The material feels durable and they do not feel restrictive at all, which I found with other brands I tried. I love the option for "tall". Pants are ALWAYS too short for me. I was unsure of sizing and appreciate being able to order multiple sizes using the free shipping and free returns. Waist 28-29" Hips about 40". Ultimately went with the 6T and can fit a heavier weight merino wool base layer underneath. The 8T were just slightly too baggy. These will be my new go-to pant for everything from climbing, mountain biking, hiking, and of course, walking the dogs.

My favourite pant from Arc'teryx. Hands down. I'm tall (5'11") and the regular length is always too short for me. Though, with the taper, it fits more a stylish ankle crop which I can still wear if it's not rainy / no snow etc. I got one in the regular length, and one in the long length which is PERFECT for all weather conditions. I've worn them mountaineerings, hiking, scrambling in the snow, rain and sun. They're ridiculously comfortable, a slightly higher waist, move fantastically and tuck into my boot if I need them to. I love the pockets (similar to what's on the regular gamma pant) and the little waist cinch because I do find they loosen up a bit. 11/10, cannot recommend enough.

I love the function of these. My only criticism are the pockets. They don’t sit flat on your hips.

I am not an outdoorsy person, but I do trek on the occasion outing with friends or prefer to be dressed for the fluctuating west coast weather. I cannot speak on the durability of these pants for it's true intentions (outdoor, hiking, rock-climbing) but I can speak from the perspective of a "city dweller" who prides comfort WITH functionality. Since I am not use to wearing technical material, my review is for the newbies. I found these pants to fit one size smaller then the Gamma LT Pants, I am about 5'4 130lbs (more hip heavy). In the hip area, these fit slightly looser then my 8S gamma LT and these are a little very slightly less crinkly and crunch sounding then the gamma. I will note, that these aren't those tight tapered pants are smooth down the legs, it does bunch a bit at the bottom but I presume that's a good thing if you need room for movement and not sitting at a coffee shop ;) Overall, I am super excited to wear these pants in the fall, and look forward seeing other colors. BRIGHT COLORS PLEASE!!

Quality of these are great but fit is not. Too big in the butt and hips for a fit in the waist. Bought 0 Short and the hips were very big, waist is also quite high, past the belly button length was great. Was hoping they would fit. Sizing with Arc'teryx is going downhill. Gamma being one of there long standing essentials is not the same as the past. The designs, fit, and sizing have changed so much in the past few years. Hoping they get back to consistent sizing

Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Pants fit great and super comfortable. The quality is evident in every detail. I will definitely be purchasing again when restocked.

This tapered fit is perfect for hiking and mountain biking :) I can rock knee pads and a shammy under them no problem. I will say that this style hits me much higher in the waist and is a bit smaller than my previous gamma pants of various variations. There's also a tiny lip of fabric over the pocket zippers - not a big fan of that BUT I believe that most people are as it protects their zips. Overall, same comfortable material, same quality product, new fit and use :).

These pants are the BEST! I bought them in my usual size and they fit like a glove. I would have preferred a short size but got regular and they bunch a little bit at the ankles but nothing crazy (I'm 5'2"). High waisted, stretchy, comfy and good for multiple purposes - I've worn them casually, hiking, mountain biking, trail building.

i love the color, i got forage green! Texture and quality is great! I would only make the pockets a bit bigger

I purchased these for spring hikes. Thus far they have held up great! The pockets are in good locations and are very deep with a zipper close. I highly recommend!

It's kept me dry during my rainy walks. I can move, bend, climb and hike freely with these pants.

Comfortable and simple. They feel like they will last a long time. I love the higher rise and the stretch in the fabric. They do not restrict my movement at all.

Upon pulling these out of the package you realize why these are so expensive and why they are worth every penny. They are durable, flexible, breathable, water resistant, everything you could want in an outdoor pant. I’ve already worn them for hiking, outdoor climbing, indoor climbing, and I’m excited to wear them for my tour du Mont Blanc trip this summer. I purchased the pants for backpacking (and for that trip) and I find myself wearing them for just about everything else, too. One of my biggest pet peeves is when brands claim that pants can hold up outside and they have a hole within a few wears. I can confirm this has not happened with the gamma pants, yet, and I’m sure it won’t for a long time.

Comfortable, flattering & stretchy. I'm usually a 4 in pants, but had to size down to a 2 & there's still a bit of room! Great waist adjustment design, it's almost invisible & no need for a belt. Plenty of pockets, too. Love the tapered fit & appreciate having a short version, as I'm 5'3". It's just a shame those sizes sell out so quickly!

Lovely functional but stylish trousers. True to size.

I bought 3 pairs of the Gamma Tapered Pants recently (one each of black, blue and olive), loved them (gave 5 star rating), and decided to load up on all the colors, ordering 1 additional olive, 2 black and 2 blue. ALL the pants in both orders were the same size and length. The first order, all fit perfectly. The second order two weeks later, 3 out of 5 did NOT fit! The one olive pair fit; one blue fit and the other blue was tight in the waist; both pairs of black felt one to two sizes too small (waist and inseam too small). Seriously Arcteryx, get your quality control back up to par! That's roughly a 50% fail rate!!! I know the size I should order (I think) because the first 3 pairs were great, and two of the 5 in the second order fit properly. But now I'm have to reluctantly return 3 pairs and unsure what to do about reordering. I fear they'll be too large if I go up a size, but have no clue whether they'll fit properly if I just reorder 3 more (2 black; 1 blue). It appears to be a total craps shoot on sizing. These are very comfortable and versatile pants. I use them for dog walking, for hospital volunteer visits (instead of scrubs), for general everyday wear instead of jeans. I WANT multiple pairs of each color. But it's really tough to order when Arcteryx is this INCONSISTENT with sizing. It's a shame how bad they've become lately because I used to be able to count on placing an order and 3 pairs of the same pants would all fit the same. Unfortunately there is no store near me that sells them, so no option to go in and try them on.

I have the Gamma LT's and ordered the same size in the Gamma Tapered Pant. I like the fit of the Tapered version better. I loved the cuffed ankle, and the cut of the Tapered version. I bought in all 3 colors (black, dark blue, and camo green). The only question is whether I splurge and buy more since Arcteryx has a nasty habit of discontinuing anything I find and love. You can move easily in these pants, and the pockets are large enough to hold an iPhone in a slim case (the max phone might not fit, though).

Great pants. Light, pockets in the right places, jogger style. I just wish they weren't so expensive.

I’m 5’11 and the length + fit of these pants is the best i’ve tried in a long time! I wore them for an early spring beach backpacking trip and they were lightweight but warm, sustained through rain and dried quickly, and super comfortable. I sized down to 8 (mostly because everything else was sold out), but they still fit great with a more tailored look.

I bought these a couple of weeks ago and am SO happy with them. They have a nice high waist and are quite flattering. The soft shell material is perfect for spring weather. I have been wearing them with a base layer and they are great for cold winter activities as well! These are a very similar fit to the Serres pant. I am 5' 10" and 150lbs and I purchased a size 6.

I like the tapered fit and high waist. The fabric is heavier that the gamma light pant and as such feels like it will be more durable. The waist is adjustable. I like the pockets and the fact that they are zippered. I have washed them and they came out perfectly

I struggle to find pants that fit well with my athletic build, 5’8 145lbs and the 6 regular sat right at my ankle which is where I wanted it. These pants are relaxed in the thigh and calf while still being flattering, and are the right fit around the waist, (original gamma are a little snug in my thighs). The ankle cuff isn’t too tight either which is nice. Amazing material, light and breathable yet durable and stretchy. Performed great while climbing, and I will for sure be wearing them hiking too. Need all the Color’s!!

I have hardly stopped wearing these ever since I got them. I love the high waist fit, more casual look to the belt and pockets along with the tapered, jogger style leg. I wish I could have gotten a 14 short (I’ve got slightly more torso than legs) as the legs are a bit too long and causes a shapeless bunching of material at the knee, but I have cuffed the bottom one more time and that has largely resolved it. Same great gamma lt fabric and feel, with good stretch and a bit more relaxed fit to the thighs than the sportier, more technical fitting gamma lt pants.

I am a big fun of Gamma pants and general and when I received my package I wasn’t surprised how great this pants and style is. I am 5’4 and 130 lbs and ordered my regular 4 size in regular. Can’t wait to wear them for hiking and other activities. Now we need more colors!
