Not the best quality

For a jacket at this price point, one would expect much better quality. A year into wearing this jacket has revealed a bunch of small rips in the fabric. Also had some components in the hood come apart (lamination issue was Arcteryx's assessment). I've only worn this jack on rainy days every now, so I'm assuming this "wear and tear" is the result of just leaning against walls, sitting down and other non-extreme everyday activities. Arcteryx repaired the hood at no cost, but deemed that those rips were just normal wear and tear. Would not repurchase again as it seems very fragile of a jacket and not very durable as opposed to how they're advertising it.

Great Jacket But Bad Main Zipper

Only problem is the main Zipper isn’t working that well for a price of 750$.

Ultimate All Weather Shell Suited for Layering TTS

Incredible Shell. Quality of materials is unmatched.
Finishing, zippers and fine details very well executed.
Regular fit with space for layering.
I took my normal Medium size and could fit all my mid-layers with room to move.
Sized down Small looked better fit wise, but there was movement restriction.
Overall I recommend taking your normal size (however sizing down is still possible if aesthetics is more important to you.)

Great features—if only they worked

The Cohaesive hood adjusters have almost no friction, and so the hood doesn’t stay adjusted in my new Beta AR. I submitted a Product Service Request (AS01630547) over a month ago, and have followed up twice. So far, crickets from Arcteryx. I have another shell in which the Cohaesive adjusters work just fine, so it’s not a design flaw. Overall, if you’re not planning to wear this with a hood, try to try it on in a store before buying. Even with adjustments, the Storm Hood can be a little too voluminous. If the Cohaesives worked I would rate the Beta AR four stars.

Me gustó bastante, se siente de muy buen material, y me ayudó mucho ahora que subí el Iztaccihuatl. Aunque fue horrible el proceso que tuve que llevar a cabo para hacerla llegar a México porque la marca no hace envíos para acá.
