Sizing or design is poor for small size

Very disappointed in this product sizing or design. I have several Arcteryx women's small jackets (AR LT hoody, AR pro Jacket, covert etc) and each fit very well. With this practitioner jacket the position of the side zip and /or pockets seems to bunch/crease/fold the jacket below bust line when zipped up. Rest of jacket has great promise.

Excellent ski touring jacket

I have been using this jacket for ski touring in the dry climate of the Rockies and BC Interior ranges and am loving it. Perhaps the best ski touring piece I have had in years. The amazing thing is how well it breathes on the way up, and how quickly it dries when covered over with an insulated piece (I use breathable insulation so the moisture goes right through). The jacket fits well, the inside facing material is soft and comfortable, the breast pockets are large and easily accessed. The only downside of this jacket is that its not warm if you are standing around, you need to be moving. So it has to be paired with an isolated piece or something else to keep you warm and help it to dry out. Highly recommended piece.

Light, warm, comfortable!

This is one of the best purchases you can make from Arcteryx. I have this jacket in both colors and love them. It is a "fitted" fit so I get an XL (in their regular fits I get an L). It fits great, it is thin but the soft inside layer is warm on your skin and the shell helps very well against colder temps and wind. I wear this jacket for a ton of things and it is still looking great with no snags or tears. Only complaint is the hood is tiny, it barely grips onto your head (especially tight if you wear your hair up) and it offers no overhang over your eyes for snow/rain etc. Overall I love this jacket and would highly recommend, especially for the pro discount price it's a get purchase.

Amazing moving and wicking jacket

I've been actively using the Practitioner in both SAR operations and personal hikes for 2 years now. It's an excellent moving layer that wicks body heat and defends against the elements. It has become my defacto must-have layer. I appreciate all the pockets it has, the hood works well, and it has a great fit. The stretch material allows me to move unencumbered in alpine scrambles.

Great fit and durability for a soft shell

I was on the wait-list for this to come back in stock and I'm so glad I waited for it! I got the rescue red color (I'm SAR) and it's perfect. I'm 5'10" and 135lbs and got size S. It fits great as a base layer under bigger puffy jackets, and the sleeves are not too short on me even though I'm tall. It can get cold if it's drafty out but I think the permeability helps when you're exercising and want to dissipate heat. I climbed in it at Joshua Tree over the weekend and it didn't tear while I was climbing which is awesome. I've already washed it once and it came out of the wash looking great. So far so good, I think this is best as a light layer under warmer jackets in cold temps and on its own if you're exercising in cool weather.

Great Colour - Easy to find

I bought this as a sample for our search and rescue team. The team loved the bright colour and it is very easy to spot outside. The jacket is a great mid-layer jacket and has been warm underneath the Arctery'x ATOM hoodie.

I bought this for ski touring, and it’s exactly what I wanted. It’s light but warm. Moves well with my body. Last week when I wore it on a storm day, I stayed warm and the inside stayed dry despite heavy snow. Magic! Love the bright color, too. I’m 5’2,130, athletic build, and a small fits great.
