Holes and Pilling

I have had these for less than a year and only worn a handful of times. Of those times I wore them I was either lounging at home or sleeping in my sleeping bag in a tent. Even with that limited activity they developed a hole in the middle of the front of my thigh, and have pilled like crazy in the inner thigh. While I would expect some piling, I would not expect it to this level for basically no activity and definitely would not expect a hole after such limited use and for such a high price point. I am very disappointed and would not recommend.

Super warm cozy bottoms!

These bottoms are super soft and comfortable, and are my go-to base layer for cold weather low output activities like easy hikes, mellow resort days, or just wearing around the city. I like the side pocket for my phone if i’m wearing them as my only layer, or my keys if they are under a shell.

Poor quality

I don't know if it just got a defective product, but I bought these leggings and the matching top and within less than six months of very light use, the fabric has holes everywhere (both the top and these bottoms). Not holes at the seams.... no, just random holes in the fabric, and not even in high wear spots. I've never had a baselayer do this before. It was comfortable while it lasted, but overall extremely poor quality.

Funny story I have bought two pairs of these leggings and I have had holes show up in random places too from extremely light wear. At first I thought it was a me problem so I bought another pair and it didn’t even last 3 months and again holes my friend had the same thing happen. So I submitted a product service request and was told it wasn’t going to be covered under warranty and that essentially nothing could be done. I am so disappointed, clearly I am not alone…. Sad as I absolutely love these leggings.

Cozy but buy Men’s sizing if want longer inseam

Love these. Cozy. I’ve got two pairs. I’ve switched to Men’s tho, for longer inseam. Wear them to stay warm around the house and for winter SAR callouts.

Wore the RHO Heavyweight base layers on the super cold -20 days in Whistler and I was able to stay out on the hill all day no problem. This is my go to when the temperatures dip or when I know I’m going to be outside standing around for extended periods.

As usual with Arcteryx, this is superb gear. These tights are thicker & warmer than any I've found for about 20 years. The Rho move comfortably, and I think the outer layer will keep a lot of wind out. I'm 5 ft 6" and 127 pounds, and the Medium fits very well.

waistband design has changed

I bought these rho pants as I own quite a few and like them. Unfortunately, the waistband at the top has tripled in size so it fits like yoga pants with a tight, very wide, elasticized section that sits high on my tors. Cost me $50 to have the band reduced by 2/3s so it sits more comfortably on my waist.

Stylish, comfy and warm!

I know these are a "base layer" but I wear them as winter pants all the time. They look stylish and flattering, at least so far (a couple of washes). The pocket adds to the look and makes them dressier than your typical leggings. The broad waistband is comfy and the stretch is the fabric is very forgiving but doesn't get too loose at the knees

I buy these pants every year. They are a staple in my closet. This year they changed not only the design but the composition of the fabric blends. Used to be 88% Polyester and 12% Elastane. Now it's 53% Polyester and 38% Nylon and 9% Elastane. Not the same feel or wear. Quality has gone down in my opinion.

Better fit than 2022-2023

I’m a longtime fan of the rho. I was delighted to see Arcteryx made adjustments to the sizing to return to the fit during the 2021-2022 ski season. The 2022-2023 season one was baggy in all the wrong places and would not stay up. This one hugs nicely and has enough elasticity to return to a smaller size after wearing it and stretching it out. This still fits on the looser end but it stays in place better. The waistband stays in place. I would love to see a curved inseam on these instead of the T inseam to accommodate curves better. I’m 5’10 and always wear a tall but this looks good. I will still have to fold these up out of the way of my ski boots. I would love to see a heavyweight bootcut version about 4 inches shorter than the current boot cut model on the regular weight this to better accommodate ski boots and ski socks.

I can't say enough about these pants - they are amazing in every way. They hold up well under frequent washing and I've not experienced them stretching out despite heavy rotation of a few pairs. What I like the most is the fabric - It's almost impossible to describe. They are the only durable pants I've owned that are super soft (like a redefining soft type of soft) and don't itch or scratch, including the seams. Super high quality and engineered masterfully, right down to the side pocket you did not know you needed to be small until you did. Keeps the chill off both indoors and outdoors and creates very flattering lines.

I jumped online to purchase another pair of these bottoms today because I ended up wearing the ones that I bought last year so frequently. They’re very soft against my skin, they stay in place, and give a little bit of extra warmth for riding the chairlift or at work heliskiing. They look great too. I’m not sure what I would ever use the pocket for, but it does add a nice look to the legging, which is useful for me at work if I don’t have time to change between skiing and aprés but don’t want to wear my ski pants.
