Great Look and Fit But Collar Chafes the Neck

I'm a big fan of Veilance and own quite a few items, so I very much wanted to like this jacket. But the collar is flawed and was too uncomfortable to ignore. First, it's a tad too high for a bomber style, which tend to rest on the neck more. Second, it uses the same material as the rest of the jacket - which maybe wouldn't be so bad by itself. But fabric is then folded over the top edge creating a ridged seam on the inside. The result is a collar that chafes the neck - especially when the jacket is zipped up. The sleeve cuff uses a softer, stretchy material. Perhaps it should have been used on the collar too? If the Veilance design team were to fix things on a Diode 2.0, I would absolutely buy it . Everything else was perfect.

Perfect lightweight, low profile bomber

Perfect lightweight, low profile bomber for wind and water resistant protection. Easily packable and excellent stretch and fabric drape from the TerraTex. Breathable and a solid DWR for water shedding. Zippered hand pockets secure items and are comfortable for people who almost always rest their hands in pockets when it's cool outside. Contrast black zipper on the Forage color way is a sharp touch. Zippered inner stash pocket on left side secured my iPhone easily and didn't mess with the lines or look. Speaking of, the lines are super clean and articulated fit left a surprising amount of room in the chest and upper arms for a lightweight insulating layer, even one that might be a bit more relaxed or bulky. I often struggle to find a size between medium and the updated large that will provide some room for layering without being unnecessarily bulky around waist and hip and long in the arms. I went with Medium and I don't feel crowded with a sweatshirt in between a long sleeve t-shirt and the Diode. I'm 6', 165 lbs with a 39" chest circumference.
