Hi Mark, thank you for your question. The Kyanite Lightweight Hoody Men's is a light fleece that is moisture-wicking, however, it is neither waterproof nor windproof. We suggest this piece be worn as either a base layer, mid-layer, or a standalone piece in dry conditions.

Question 6

What does revised mean when it comes to the
Kyanite Lightweight Jacket -compared to the new Kyanite jacket

River · Accepted Answer

Hello Rich, the Kyanite Lightweight Hoody has been updated with a new fabric made with recycled content, it also has been updated with a revised fit. Medium size remains unchanged. Smaller sizes are now tighter and larger sizes are now looser. The Kyanite Jacket has a regular fit, comparing to a fitted fit for the Kyanite Lightweight Hoody. These two jackets also don't have the same fabric. The Kyanite Lightweight Hoody is made with Torrent™ stretch fleece and the Kyanite Hoody is made of Polartec® Power Stretch® Pro.

Question 7

I am an XL in every Arcteryx jacket I have but this is described as a "slim trim fit." Will this jacket in an XL fit different than other XLs from arcteryx?

Jimmy · Accepted Answer

Hello Ron. If you are an XL in all of your other Arc'teryx items, we would recommend taking an XL in Kyanite lightweight Hoody as well, as long as you are okay with a trim fit. Even though it is fitted, it will not mean that it is going to fit a size down. The jacket is designed to fit close to the body because it is a fleece-insulating layer. If you want a roomier fit, then we would recommend sizing up. The jacket will fit differently than other XL's unless those items are also "Fitted".
