Hi Steve, thank you so much for your question! Both the Mionn Insulated Overshirt and Mionn Insulated Jacket use our TerraTex™ stretch nylon fabric with an FC0 DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. This combination provides lightweight, breathable protection that is wind-resistant and water-resistant while navigating urban environments. Since warmth can vary by individual, we don’t assign specific temperature ratings to our garments. That said, the Mionn Insulated Jacket uses thicker, mapped insulation, combining Coreloft™ 60gsm with Coreloft™ Silver Insulation featuring PURE Technology at 80gsm. This results in a warmer jacket compared to the Mionn Insulated Overshirt, which uses lighter Coreloft™ Silver Insulation at 40gsm. If warmth is your main priority, the Mionn Insulated jacket is the better choice between the two. If you're looking for a lighter layer that still provides warmth, the Mionn Insulated Overshirt is a great option. We hope this helps!

The Mionn Insulated Overshirt is insulated with the lightweight and breathable Coreloft™ 40gsm synthetic insulation and is designed more as a lightweight insulated layer rather than a true winter coat. That said, it can work well as part of a layering system. We do not rate our garments for temperature as there are too many factors that influence this result from person to person.
