What is the water pressure rating mm for these pants

Hello there, the Beta Pant is built with GORE‑TEX, and all our GORE‑TEX garments have a 28,000 mm water column rating. This ensures complete waterproof protection in sustained wet conditions.

Are they 100% waterproof?

Hello Bren, yes, the Beta Pant is fully waterproof. It’s built with PFAS‑free GORE‑TEX® ePE and a recycled face fabric that delivers complete waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection. This construction is designed to keep you dry and comfortable in sustained wet conditions.

Are they adjustable at the waist ?

Hi Tamara, thank you for your question. The Beta Pant does not have a manually adjustable waist; instead, it features a low‑profile stretch waistband designed to accommodate a range of waist‑to‑hip ratios. We hope this helps!

are thhere full length zide zippers on the legs?

Hi Jocelyn, thanks for reaching out. The Beta Pants feature a ¾-length separating side zipper that provides ventilation and allows easy on-and-off over shoes and boots. We hope this helps!

Can these be put on in the field without removing touring boots?

Hello there, the Beta Pant is designed primarily for hiking and climbing, so it’s not intended to be worn over ski touring boots. While the 3/4 length side zippers do allow for easier on-and-off over lighter footwear, they likely won’t accommodate the bulk of touring boots. In most cases, you’d need to remove your boots to get the pants on, and they may not fit comfortably over top. If you’re looking for a shell pant built specifically for ski touring, we recommend the Sentinel Pant.

Hello. Can you use these pants over Ski Touring Boots?

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. The Beta Pant has a leg opening of 39.8 cm, which fits over most hiking or mountaineering boots. However, it may be a tight fit over bulkier ski touring boots. We recommend trying the pants on with your boots to confirm the fit. If they don’t work out, we offer free returns so you can easily return them for a different option. We hope this helps!

Are these pants easy to get on over boots if they need to be put on during a hike?

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. The base size 4 has a leg opening of 39.8 cm, which should fit over most boots comfortably. These pants also feature a long side zipper, making it easy to take them on and off over footwear. We hope this helps!

Hi I'm looking for pants to use at winter hiking in Greenland. Would these be a solution for that or will the Beta Gamma softshell be better?

Hello Charlie, both pants are great options for winter hiking! The main difference is that the Beta Pant is fully windproof and waterproof, while the Gamma Pant provides some weather protection along with lightweight insulation. If you need a waterproof option, the Beta Pant is the way to go, but both will perform well depending on your needs.
