Question 1

Would you recommend this bag for a university student? I usually bring laptop, lunch and a couple of notebooks.

Amelie, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello Jack, thank you for your interest in our Mantis 16 Backpack. Based on the bag dimensions, it should provide enough space for daily essentials. However, whether it will comfortably fit your laptop and notebooks depends on their specific dimensions. The bag measurements are:
Length: 45 cm
Width: 26 cm
Depth: 17 cm
If you’re unsure whether the Mantis 16 offers enough space, the Mantis 26 provides additional room for daily essentials and is often a better fit for a fuller load. We hope this helps!

Question 2

Is it a big compartment inside the bag or separated? I couldn’t find pictures of the inside online.

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello Rachel, the Mantis 16 Backpack features one main, spacious compartment, designed to keep the pack simple and easy to use. Inside that main compartment, you’ll find an internal sleeve that can hold a small laptop or tablet, along with a zippered dump pocket at the top of the pack for organizing smaller essentials. There aren’t multiple divided sections, the layout is intentionally streamlined to maximize usable space while still offering a bit of internal organization.

Question 3

Is this bag a good size for a uk high school or would you recommend the mantis 26

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello there, thanks for your question. The Mantis 16 is great for daily essentials, but for a UK high‑school student carrying books, a laptop, and lunch, the Mantis 26 is usually the more practical choice. While its internal organization is intentionally minimal, one main compartment, a sleeve, and a few external pockets, the added volume makes a big difference in comfortably managing a full school load. If the priority is having enough space rather than a compact pack, the Mantis 26 is the better fit for everyday school use.

Question 9

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer
