Question 1

Are you planning a 20L version, similar to the Alpha FL series backpacks?

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello Andrew, if a 20L version of the Alpha SL pack ever comes to life, we’d be genuinely excited to share it, but there’s nothing we can confirm at the moment. Our teams are always exploring new volumes and design directions, so future additions are absolutely possible. The best way to stay ahead of any upcoming releases is to subscribe to our newsletter, where new product announcements and innovations are shared first.

Question 2

I have 2 holes in this bag. What’s the best way to fix these?

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Question 3

Question 4

How often do you restock the alpha sl 30 for eu?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. While we do not have an exact return date for the Alpha SL 30 Backpack, stock will fluctuate as we move through the seasons. We recommend using the “Notify Me” feature, subscribing to the Arc'teryx newsletter for up-to-date information on products, or looking to authorized Arc’teryx retailers for any additional item availability. We hope this helps!

Question 5

The little black sliders on the utility straps. Apparently they can slide in under the black attachment hooks. But their purpose eludes me.

Jaydee · Accepted Answer

Hi there. The sliders act as functional locks, holding strap length and tension to keep the pack and external gear snug.

Question 6

What material is used for the 5/8"-wide white strip between the shoulder strap and the strap adjuster? This area often tears on backpacks, so I’m curious about its durability. As a side note, what is the approximate maximum weight this backpack can carry?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Jaydee, thanks for reaching out. The white strip between the shoulder strap and the strap adjuster is part of the pack’s laminated construction. This area is bonded at a molecular level rather than stitched or glued, which helps reduce bulk and improve durability in high-stress zones compared to traditional laminated methods. We do not publish an official maximum weight for our backpacks, as this can vary depending on a variety of reasons. We understand how this information could be helpful and will be sure to share your feedback with our team for future consideration. We hope this helps!

Question 7

Compared to the Hyperlite Vertex 32: the Alpha SL 30 seems to come up short compared to Hyperlite's version that has a similar price.
The Hyperlite Vertex has a rolltop and draw strings (rather than just a drawstring) and it has a side access zip.

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. We can understand how those features could enhance your experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We’ll be sure to pass this along to our design team for future consideration. We hope this helps!

Question 8

Discontinued or Temporarily Out of Stock?
It’s not currently available in the Canadian store - what’s happening?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there, thank you for your question. The Alpha SL 30 Backpack is not discontinued, it’s simply a high-demand product that tends to sell out quickly. It remains part of our Fall/Winter collection, and we do have more inventory on the way. If you're hoping to secure one, we recommend checking back regularly or signing up for restock notifications on the product page to be alerted as soon as it becomes available again.

Question 9

Could you tell me how long the torso length is of this pack ag?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer
