Question 1

Why is the Mongoose / Nucleus colorway still listed as an option? Will it be restocked?

Joseph, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello Maui, thank you for your question about the Aerios 18 Backpack. We are glad to hear that you are interested in the Mongoose / Nucleus colourway! While we do not have an exact return date for this colourway, stock will fluctuate as we move through the seasons. We recommend using the “Notify Me” feature, subscribing to the Arc'teryx newsletter for up-to-date information on products, or looking to authorized Arc’teryx retailers for any additional item availability. We hope this helps!

Question 2

I want to purchase this bag. When will it restock?

Beth, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Patrick, thank you for your interest in the Aerios 18 Backpack. While we don't have a specific restock date to share at this time, inventory can change as new stock becomes available throughout the season. We recommend signing up for email alerts using the "Notify Me" feature on the product page to be notified as soon as your preferred colour becomes available. You may also want to check with an authorized Arc'teryx retailer, as they may have additional inventory available. Thanks again for reaching out, and we hope you're able to get your hands on one soon!

Question 3

when will it be available to purchase?

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello Math, the Aerios 18 Backpack is currently out of stock, but we’re in the middle of transitioning into our Fall/Winter collection, so new styles and colourways should be rolling out soon. We can’t confirm specific restock dates in advance, but if the Aerios 18 returns, it will appear directly on the product page as soon as inventory arrives. You’re also welcome to subscribe to our newsletter to stay updated on upcoming releases and restocks.

Question 4

Can a 14” thinkpad X1 laptop fit in the internal sleeve? It’s ok if it’s snug

River, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hello Chris, thanks for reaching out. The Aerios 18’s internal sleeve is designed for smaller devices and hydration reservoirs, so while a 14" ThinkPad X1 might slide in, it would be quite snug. The sleeve width is narrower than a typical 14" laptop footprint, so the fit wouldn’t be ideal and may feel tight when inserting or removing the device.

Question 5

I see that this bag has been through a ‘revision’. Is the back mesh panel changed to address the multiple reports of pilling? Thank you

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Alan, thanks for reaching out. This season, the Aerios 18 Backpack has been updated with an FC0 DWR finish for a lower footprint. The AeroForm back panel remains unchanged. We hope this helps!

Question 6

What are the dimensions of length, width and depth in inches

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. Please find your requested measurements for the Aerios 18 Backpack below:

Size REG
Width: 9.4 inches
Length: 19.3 inches
Depth: 7.5 inches

We hope this helps!

Question 7

Is 'Updated with a FC0 DWR finish for a lower footprint.' the only change in the recent revision?

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question! Yes, the only notable change in the latest Aerios 18 Backpack revision is the updated FC0 DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish, which is free from intentionally added PFAS.

Question 8

There is a black clip attached to an orange strap inside a small zippered pocket within the main compartment but if this is supposed to be for the water bladder then that would be weird. Where is the water bladder clip?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hey Chris, thanks for reaching out. The Aerios 18 Backpack is reservoir bladder compatible, but does not feature a bladder clip attachment. The bladder is intended to go in the main compartment and features holes near the top straps for the hose to be accessible. We hope this helps!

Question 9

Is this bag good for a challenging winter hike? I keep getting recommended this one by my feed but I want to make sure its good for these upcoming challenging winter hikes.

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Dasikis, thanks for reaching out. The Aerios 18 Backpack is designed as an ultralight daypack for hiking. For day hikes, this would be a great option if you are comfortable layering and managing your gear carefully. We hope this helps!

Question 10

Does the current back panel cause piling on certain clothing?

River · Accepted Answer

Hello Coop, the Aerios 18 is built for precision and pace, with a breathable mesh back panel that keeps air moving and weight low. While this design enhances comfort on the trail, it can cause pilling on certain lightweight or loosely woven garments due to consistent friction. For best results, we recommend pairing it with abrasion-resistant tops, which are engineered to perform under pack carry.
