Rush Jacket Women's

Performance, comfort and style wrapped up in a perfect shell of a ski jacket! I sized up (I usually wear a med) to a large for a more oversize look and feel. I am able to layer a puff underneath on colder days and still have freedom of movement. I use the bottom synch to customize my fit. A great hood that is compatible with a helmet or adjustable for a hat on storm days. Vertical chest pockets for easy access to my radio or snacks. I paired this with the Rush Bib Pant making my dream ski kit complete.

Love this jacket for a top layer. It's got enough pockets for a day hike. The only thing is it's a bit on the long side and as a shorter person, it comes down over my pant pockets which makes it harder to get them.

So, this is a beautiful jacket. The labyrinth colour is a rich, vibrant teal, I love the chest pockets, it's got some nice features, the length is awesome, it's comfortable to wear, lightweight, and it overall just looks really good. I found myself in between sizes. My regular size, Small, fit perfectly on my torso, but was a little bit tight around my hips. It wasn't restricting, just not quite the look or fit I wanted. The size Medium was way too big on my torso but fit on my hips. So even though the length is great, it comes with the caveat of possibly not fitting you properly around the hips. I'd say it's overall true to size but the length may cause problems depending on your body type, so I recommend trying this one on in store because of this. The main problem I have with this jacket is the fact that they've made the women's version of this jacket inferior to the men's. WHY? What makes you think women don't want or deserve the same features and quality as men? The men's version has a laminated brim on the hood, watertight zippers, internal mesh dump pocket, powder skirt, slide n lock snap closures, relaxed cuffs with laminated velcro, and Gore-tex Pro. The women's version has NONE of these features. That's just ridiculous. Arcteryx, you can do so much better. Don't use the same name for two jackets that are not the same.

I bought this jacket with the Rush bib pants as well (which are incredible). The colour is beautiful and the pockets are extremely convenient. I wanted a longer jacket for resort days, but read a few reviews that say the length in the torso is annoying for touring (when climbing). I've worn this touring twice so far since purchasing, and didn't have any trouble with the longer cut. I can see it being restrictive if you bought a more fitted size. A note on sizing - I have broad shoulders, so I needed to size up to a large to not feel restricted in my upper body, but find I'm absolutely swimming in the arms and torso. I don't mind too much, but I'm kind of rocking a paper bag princess look. Definitely try this on in person, it's a bit finnicky.
