I LOVE the Gamma Pant I bought in 2023 and I wore them almost every day. They still look new. They had a clean look (thanks to the built in sinch hook belt thingie at the top of the pant - I'll get more into that later), they NEVER popped open, and they withstood hours of prairie tromping in rough grass, over barbed wire and so on. I give them 5 stars and they remain my favorite pants in my wardrobe. I loved the pants so much I bought 2 more pairs last fall (I'm wearing one of those pairs now). These are the pants I'm giving 2 stars because you took away the adjustable belt with the hook close that over the button. The pants from 2023 had a strong hook, which kept the pants closed and button buttoned when doing field stuff (squatting during field work whether it's to set up cameras or examine plants, etc.). This belt also went over the snap button at the top of the pant - which kept that snap button closed. The pants also had a cleaner look - great for post-fieldwork meetings and such. Finally - and perhaps critically, you could adjust the belt as your weight fluctuated throughout the month... that's a thing for women. The new pants are a flimsier snap close button which doesn't stay open when you have to twist or move a lot, and that button is getting weaker with every snap despite the fact that I've been losing weight and the pants are getting looser. (I'm actually two sizes smaller now and they always pop open when I bend over, kneel or get out of my chair). PLEASE bring back the hook close adjustable belt thingie in your next series. (I noticed the men's pants still have these and I guess I can buy the male version until the female version is updated. Thing is, females have more weight fluctuation so I'm surprised you removed them for women AND increased the price of the pants).

Perfect look, perfect feel, perfect fit. Although the size chart suggested a size 10, I ended up buying a size 6, which fits me perfectly. The material is durable yet comfortable, and the design is sleek and versatile. Highly recommend!

Last year I mail-ordered a 6R lightweight Gamma pant. It is a little shorter than I might have liked, and the waist is very tight. So I recently mail-ordered a regular Gamma in 8T. It was too big for me everywhere except for the waist, which was again too tight. Last week I locally purchased a 4R Norvan Insulated pant that fit best though the stretch waist is snugger than ideal and the length is short. I had tried the 6R Norvan in the store, and it was too baggy for my slim legs. I have several Arcteryx jackets and tops, some medium, some large. I like Arcteryx quality, but findiing a size that fits is always a challenge. I would like your waists to be at least 2" bigger than they are and tops sized consistently.

The Gamma pants are too tight around the hip for someone with slightly curvy figure. The fabric is rigid enough to make my movement feel restricted. It is just too tight around the hip and thighs. I really hope there is more room.

I was nervous to get these pants initially because Arcteryx seems to fit tall and skinny, however as a curvier human, they fit fairly well! I find that they are not overly low waisted and the built in belt is great. Being 5'1 I'm sure I could have gotten the short version, but the regular isn't overly long and I just cuff them.

Beware: the current Gamma pants is a different product from the previous Gamma LT pants. It is a lot baggier and does not have the slim/tailored fitting as the previous version. Note that they even removed the line "The Gamma Pant was previously the Gamma LT Pant" from product description. The change are shown in the product images but if you are not paying attention you will be disappointed. Why bother using the Gamma name to confuse anyone who simply wants a replacement if you are going to drastically change the design? Please at least bring back the slim-fitting Gamma LT as an option

I really love the fit and material of these. Just returning from Red Rocks and climbing Yosemite next week, I know which pant I’m going to keep grabbing for. The material is thick but has a nice stretch, and they are going to easily take me into ice climbing and mountaineering. The one buzz kill of these pants that keeps me from instantly running out and buying 2-3 more is your depth of your button snap. It’s too shallow, so it doesn’t securely snap and hold. I had to look up reviews to ensure I didn’t have a defective item, but even with some extra room in the waist (I’m between a 2 and 4 and went with 4), it still comes unsnapped throughout the day. Please please please swap it out in your next version. 🙏

I've taken my Gamma pants (in Velocity) on multiple climbing trips -- both sport and bouldering -- and they are my favorite pair of climbing pants. They are stretchy at the knee, have an adjustable waist, comfortable even with a harness on, and I'm not worried about them ripping or snagging on rock. They run a little long on me, but I appreciate that they're easy to roll up and they have a cinch at the bottom of the legs.

I’ve had a good experience of the gamma pant, bought for alpine climbing and environmental work. Whilst they’re a brilliant hiking and climbing trouser, I really wish they offered the women’s equivalent of the Gamma Guide pant that has recently been discontinued. It used the Burly 2.0 fabric which was super hard wearing, more water resistant and had the reinforced panelling that made them great for ski touring. Please please bring out a women’s pair or at least the men’s so I don’t have to borrow my partners with a belt!!

These pants are comfortable and true to size. I ordered a size 8R for my height of 1.62 meters, and they fit perfectly without feeling too long. I also noticed invisible mud stains after walking in the rain. The Yukon color looks even better in person! Carrying a cell phone in the pocket may feel too heavy while walking.

Perfect pant for hiking, climbing and really anything outdoors. The material is lightweight and has a really good stretch for movement. The size runs true to size. I was able to wear a light base layer underneath and movement was not restricted at all. Zipper good, buckle is good. Great side pocket for my phone. Love the color. I wore these for a ferrata climb in Norway, Trolltunga. They were absolutely perfect. When I returned home, i purchased the same pant in two other colors. Great quality for the price!

I bought these pants for my through Himalayan trek in August 2024. They were the only spare pants i was carrying. The first day i wore these pants, the front button snapped and came off. I had to complete my 14 days high altitude trek with a safety pin holding my pants together. You are an adventure clothing company, very highly disappointed with the quality of the item. I raised a service request with you guys and was told to ship the item at my cost. Drove 20 miles to your Short hills, NJ store to be told that they are not authorized to ship service request items. I really expected much better quality and better customer service being such a long time customer of Arcteryx!

Terrific cut and overall fit (they allow plenty movement and flexibility while hiking). The material is extremely soft and the double stitching and partially hidden zippers denote attention to tailoring details, which I am quite impressed by as compared to others in the same price range. I particularly appreciate that the logo is conspicuous: I have not bought clothes at times because I do not like to be a walking advertisement or worse yet a bragging user of more expensive clothes.

I ordered this new style and returned right away. I need two pairs of these pants for winter hikings, but I really don't like the style and belt design of these revised Gamma Pants. I constantly search for inventories of older version, but not much luck so far...

I’ve had the Gamma Pant for three winters. They are my go-to pant for ice climbing, alpine rock and any adventure that will require me to be in mountains for multiple days, because they are the perfect balance of breathable, dexterous and water resistant. They layer well with a thin base if it’s chilly, or with a shell over the top if it’s super wet. Aside from a few small crampon punctures, the pants are still in excellent condition. After my first season of ice climbing with the Gamma Pant, my partner was jealous and got a pair for himself.

The pant is true to size. I wear it for hiking and other outdoor activities. This is the most versatile pant that I have had. Weather resistant. I wish they could have more colors to choose.

I have an older pair of Gamma pants, from around 2019. They are my favourite pants for cool-weather hiking and general life all winter. I've been wanting a second, not-black pair for some time and finally ordered a pair in Dark Stratus--a lovely colour. I ordered the same size as my old ones, 4S. But...although the waist fits me the same, the inseam is now longer! Too long by about 4 cm. And the baggy-leg style is definitely not what I expected. They don't look baggy on the model.

Amazing, really like the revised waistband adjuster. The stratus colour is beautiful. Perfect leg fit - not too wide and not too tight.

Pros: fabric, pockets, ankle cinch, colors. Cons: they look like mom jeans. Super high waist (mostly for short people like me) which creates bagging at the crotch and in the back there is just so much extra fabric at the waist and it practically hits my braline. The belt is also odd in that you tighten it from the side. I have been trying every Arc'teryx pant release the last 3 years to use on my hikes/backpacking trips and every single one has been this high waisted trend that looks ridiculous on me. Please bring back a lower rise (like 8-9") for the short versions at least. Maybe these work great for tall people but I need hiking clothes too and I love your brand. It's one of the few that makes smaller sizes and shorter inseams. There is just way too much fabric bunching in all the wrong places and it is really unflattering. My Palisade pant from way back when fits much better but would be improved with the Gamma design. I would love a new pair to use in canvas and black colorways.
