Overall a warm jacket for the coldest days.

Overall a wonderful jacket for cold weather. Warm and comfortable on the coldest windy snowy winter days around town (we got down to about 10 degrees F for some time this winter in the NYC area). Lined handwarmer pockets are welcome, as is the inside sealable pocket. Fit is a little small compared to other jackets. Has a removeable hood which is no problem but i prefer an attached one. I would also prefer knit interior cuffs in addition to the velcro closures, but those are personal preferences. I previously had a Fission SV for 15 years or so which was similar to this but slightly less warm, and no longer available. I hope this is as well made and lasts as long, but have only had it one winter so far.

Quality bit of kit as you would expect from Arcteryx but come on guys the pockets!!....absolutely useless! Chest pocket is big enough only for lip balm and I can barely fit my wallet in the inside pocket.
Sizing has changed too. I have been wearing Arcteryx gear for 20 years and always took a large in jackets, new large is massive. Would have expected better R&D from such a longstanding forward thinking company. Dissapointed to be honest and I havent even mentioned the £1000 pricetag!

Veste incroyable !

La veste de ski la plus légère et la plus chaude que j'ai jamais eu. Je la porte seulement avec une couche et je n'ai jamais froid. La capuche amovible est pratique. Je ne trouve pas de défaut à ce produit. J'en suis très satisfait !

Excellent quality and fantastic colour in Phantasm II. Would highly recommend - size M - 6ft 1 - 82 kilos - good fit - if you want further layering, size L probably best.

Very versatile ski jacket

Super versatile ski jacket. Very warm but you're also able to dump a ton of heat through the vents if you need to. It's been my only ski jacket for the past 2 season and I've used it between -3 to -30 C with zero complaints.
Only thing to note is that because it is an insulated jacket, it makes Gore-Tex repairs more complicated. I managed to tear a small hole in my sleeve and the only suggested fix was Tenacious Tape (which I've had no problems with). If you're looking for a more permanently repairable option, perhaps go with a shell jacket and an insulated layer.
