Sima Jacket Women's

I bought it twice, because I m so happy, light and functional to every outfit.

I bought this jacket because it boasted UVB protection and is light and suitable for the summer weather being outdoors. I had this for less than two months wearing it for hiking, outside stroll and golfing. The fit and cut of the jacket was perfect. I really enjoyed this jacket. Unfortunately after a session of golf I noticed some deteriorating threads near the pocket when I was packing this jacket. I reached out to Arcteryx and luckily customer support was able to provide credit. However I’m bummed to see the size and color I want is no longer available. It’s one of my favorite jackets but sadly the quality couldn’t hold up for my activity. I do hope they come out with more, I’d happily buy it again if the size and color is available again.

I have the forage and black ones. Incredibly lightweight and soft. The neck doesn't scratch on the chin when the zipper is fully closed - I love that! I use them for trail running and walking. The fit is generous, gives nice space to move.But - again - Arcteryx! - the arms are too long. Women's bodies are not like mens - we have proportionally shorter arms.

While just having doubts how this jacket would work in the hot, humid summer time, I bought it just simply want to give it a try, because there were couple of selections were returned at REI, this jacket really surprises me and end up became my favorite one in this summer time. If you need a jacket to make yourself feel cool and get protection from the sun in this summer, buy it, you won't regret!👍👍

I just received this and have not yet worn it or washed it, but thought some information might to be helpful to others. So far I am very happy with this jacket - seems promising and met my criteria. It’s difficult to find jackets that are not hooded. The fit is generous. I bought a large which is my typical size in arcteryx clothing and I like room in my clothes, specially if it’s a jacket that I am going to wear in warm temperatures. One reason I come back to arcteryx clothing is that they fit me well. I have “athletic” upper arms and back and they cut their clothes to allow for free movement, while maintaining a tidy silhouette. The high neck will be effective in keeping the sun off, but it can be folded down if/when need be. I bought the forage colour - it’s not too dark and feel it will go well with my summer clothes - I tend to wear a lot of gray T-shirts with black or navy pants or jeans. Because it is a very minimalist design ( and thank you arcteryx for not splashing a loud logo on this jacket) I will feel comfortable wearing this hiking and also in any other circumstance where a light cover or sun protection is appreciated (air conditioning in restaurants or stores etc). What I could not tell from the online images is that there is some elastic built into the sleeves so they can be pulled up the forearm a bit and will stay in place. This is a feature I appreciate. I find it a very expensive piece of clothing, however, if it protects from the sun, functions well, washes well, lasts for years I will be comfortable having paid the price.
