Perfect for warmer weather adventures!

I've been wearing this as an everyday piece; a flattering fit, soft and comfortable. Now as the weather warms up I find it useful to start my hikes with. As someone who runs hot especially during high output activity, the jacket provides enough warmth and breathability to be comfortable, a reason I prefer the thinner revised sleeves (while others may find the sleeves too thin). When it's time to remove this layer, it easily packs into its own pocket, making it quick to throw in my pack.

LOVING the electra color for the brighter days plus adds a pop of color to my outdoor gear. Its lightweight insulation provides just the right amount of warmth without overheating and the wind-resistant fabric helps keep you comfortable. A must for summer backpacking adventures

This seriously lightweight jacket was perfect for my overnight hiking trip. Warm day, cool night made it that I needed to layer up, and leave the bulk at home. It was so light I didn't believe it would keep me warm but it really did, with no need for an extra layer. It was easy to pack really small. It can also be a middle layer if you bring it during the shoulder seasons where the weather can be a bit less predictable.
I've worn it as a warm base layer for snowboarding too which was comfortable and warm for below 0 temperatures.
When it comes to sizing I'd advise sizing up for comfort. I normally wear a size small or medium and the medium fits just right, a bit snug at the belly and hips, with not much room for layers under. If you don't like the snug fit - size up!

This is my third Atom Hoody - not because they wear out ... EVER ... but it is my go to year around. Living in BC Canada layers are essential in the Winter when skiing and trekking. The fabric is light, flexible, the perfect layer of warmth and durable for all conditions. Transitioning to summer in Colorado, this is also my go to jacket. When I get warm, this amazingly stuffs down into a small waist pack. I'm not sure how all this is possible with one perfect jacket. The fit is slim, so I don't feel frumpy either. I did size up to a Medium and am typically a Small. Love the hood for wind and light precip.

Lightweight & Perfect for Running

This hoody is incredibly lightweight, breathable, and packable; a perfect go-to layer for spring runs. It’s great for keeping warm without overheating and moves well with the body. However, the fit around the front creates a slight bubble near the side pockets, especially noticeable if you're petite like me. The pockets themselves aren’t structured enough; even placing a phone inside makes it look saggy and awkward. I'd love to see improved pocket support to securely hold small essentials while keeping a clean look. That said, the overall feel and performance are excellent; it’s still one of my favorite pieces for running and light outdoor activities.

Great Transitional Mid-layer

I've been using this layer over the winter on cold days under my proton, and on warmer days as my main mid-layer. The double layer is nice as well because after lunch it often warms up enough to just use the Atom SL. It's also been great to use for winter runs.
Looking forward to having this in my pack for hikes now that hiking season is around the corner, and as a lighter jacket for the summer evening chill. So far I haven't spilled on the white!

The best hoody!

The Atom Hoody has been my go-to mid insulating layer for nearly all of my alpine climbing endeavors over the past few years. The new Atom SL is gradually becoming my new favorite, and I find myself reaching for it more and more, particularly on warmer and/or sunnier days in the mountains when I know I won't require as much insulation on the uphill. This hoody has been especially perfect for long multi-pitch rock routes where I'm trying to carry a lot less and need a layer that is easily packable but also easy to climb and move in. This layer used to be the Squamish Hoody for me, but I love that the Atom SL is quite a bit warmer while still being extremely lightweight! Very excited to get even more use out of this hoody this summer for both guiding and personal climbing.

Wanted to love this, but the fit...

I wanted to love this like most of my Arc'teryx pieces, but no luck. I have an Atom LT that fits perfectly; ordered the same size in this SL and the fit is WAY different - chest is super tight. It's also boxier throught the waist, so I don't want to upsize. Sadly returned.

My Favorite Jacket!!

I bought this jacket a couple months ago and I wear it everyday. The colour is vibrant and beautiful (I bought the blue) and its perfect for those days where a t-shirt isnt enough but a jacket is too much. Fits me perfectly (5'4, 150lbs, typically a size small) and doesnt restrict movement in the slightest. Currently contemplating how many other colours I need in this exact jacket LOL.

I bought this a few days ago but boy has it become one of my favourites. I love the water repellent properties, but it still has stretch panels in the arms and torso so it’s stretchy and doesn’t restrict any movement. As a curvy girl, it’s hard to find a jacket that stretches around the chest without having to size up due to that. Awesome job on this jacket. Will definitely buy more.

Perfect functionality

I got this hoody in April as a light layer for climbing but it’s quickly become one of my go to pieces for anything. I’ve used it for multi-pitch, sport, gym climbing, hiking and biking. It’s a perfect piece for high output activity when it’s windy/cold. However, I find it’s also nice for running errands around town going in and out of buildings.

Warmer than it looks, breathable, & super light

This has been my go-to jacket since getting it! I have been through a heat wave, rain and some light hail between places in California and Oregon and this has kept me warm and dry. I love how the end of the sleeves have a curve to them so it helps keep your hands warmer than a usual sleeve that's cut off straight across. The pockets are huge and fit a lot. While the jacket is water resistant it is so breathable and flexible. I am a between a size XS and S with Arc'teryx and I went with the Small as it seems a bit more trim around the waste compared to other jackets. Sometimes I forget it has a hood because the material is so light but the hood gives great coverage! I could see myself wearing this on cooler summer evenings and on active hikes in colder weather.

Beautiful jacket for spring/summer

I ordered this jacket last year but was in between sizes so couldn’t keep it. This year the revised fit works perfectly for me. The colors are beautiful and this will be my goto jacket for spring and summer. Fits perfectly under an Atom LT or Gamma MX on colder days. Love it!

Perfect for outdoor adventures

This is one of my fave go to jackets for outdoor adventures. I love the fit - close fitting so it does not flap and is good for layering but yet it allows freedom of movement due to the stretch material in all the right places. I am normally a M but I chose a S so it is closer fitting.

My Go To Jacket

I wear this jacket alone or under a LT atom on colder days. It's light and packable, but still warm. It's so versatile! I use it year round, in the mountains and in the city. It still looks new! I love this jacket.

Love The jacket, but poor quality

Bought this in the fall. The jacket overall is amazing but really disappointed with the zippers.
I find when I hike, ski, run in it, the zipper slides down until it’s totally open. Was expecting better quality for the price.

Love this jacket

I have two, one in an xs and another in s for when I need layering. I wear them ALL the time. I have different jackets but since I bought these I mainly wear them. Worn for everyday wear and also for trail running and hiking.

Versatile

This is my second Atom SL Hoody. I wore the other one out- had to retire and replace when the zipper failed. Versatile piece as a stand alone in warmer temperatures or layered in colder temperatures.

This has been an incredible jacket for a wide range of activities in all seasons. It's never in the wardrobe as I wear it so often! Light insulation and wind protection combined with stretch and breathability have made this the most comfortable jacket to use during activity. Sleeve cuff detail of being slightly longer on the back of the hand is a highly thought-out component that I love as well!

Great Layering piece!

This jacket is a new layer to me, I have had a couple of the Atom LT Hoodys and love them, and am now realizing that this will be an essential layering piece as well! I havent taken it off since I got it. It is so lightweight and packable! It's as comfortable as a sweater /sweatshirt. So far I have worn it during high output activities such as running and mountain biking. I have also used it as a layer hiking, putting a larger down jacket over it once I got to the top of the peak! The fleece side panels allow for movement, comfort and breathability and the synthetic insulation has kept me warm from the cold fall wind. I think this will be the perfect piece to wear uphill on the skin track this winter!

Great winter running/hiking jacket

I have an old atom sl from a few years back and i feel this new version is longer in the torso and thicker as well. I use my jacket for cooler temp activities such as winter running and xc-skiing. Light weight but warm enough for aerobic winter activities and breathes well. Enigma is an awesome color.

My new favourite jacket!

I already owned the Atom AR but I purchased this as a lighter option for spring, fall, and cool summer evenings, and it's my new favourite jacket! The colour (Mirai) is stunning and the jacket fits so well! This is one of the comfiest jackets I've ever owned and keeps me the perfect temperature when I'm out and about. I mostly wear it for walks and around town, but have worn it hiking too as its so light and breathable!
