Perfect if you have a bit of side belly

I bought it a few days ago. I exchanged for the Delta because it was too tight. I am 5.3 126 pounds 57 years old, athletic, but I have a bit of belly comparing with the rest of the body. I was scared about the size because Arc’teryx can feel tight sometimes if it isn’t regular fit. This one is medium and fits a bit lose but perfect. To wear something under or on top. Totally recommended

Love it but miss the interior mesh pockets

I have purchased 3 covert cardigans in the past 10 years- this newest cardigan is not as soft as previous versions but what I really miss are the mesh interior pockets. My passport and boarding passes fit perfectly in them for travel. I have had my latest covert cardigan for 1 year and the zipper broke this morning. So the recent version is not nearly as well made as my covert cardigans from 10 years and 8 years ago. I still wear those 2 cardigans regularly. All 3 cardigans wash very well and our very warm.

Love this fleece!!

I have had it for a few weeks and it is wonderful. The small fits me perfectly. I am 5’7” and 118 lbs. the collar sits on the right place on my neck, the color is muted (which I love-not into bright bright colors), and I will love in thus all winter. Maybe a black is in my future!!!

More athletic cut than Patagonia and more pockets

This fleece is more form fitting and looks more stylish than my Patagonia sweaters. I love being able to wear the same technical gear in town, just because I like it, and have it perform well when kayaking/sailing/climbing/camping/etc. Have to admit the Better Sweater generally has a nicer looking fabric though. Variety of pockets is great. Fits great under my other jackets/shells.

Great light weight jacket

I got this jacket a few months ago in the heather grey. I read a few comments about pilling which I haven't noticed a lot of on mine. It washes great too. As for fit I am 5'-1" at 125lbs and typically wear a medium in Arcteryx but I sized down to a small for a closer fit.

Love this Cardigan

I have this cardigan in 2 colors now and may get another next season. I know I love it when I reach for it more than other outer wear items. Is's stylish, comfortable and warm...and I love the green color, especially in the Spring. The sleeves are long enough, the length covers my backside , and overall it's so well made. It launders well, and looks great even after a year of use. I read some people had issues of piling on their items, but have not had this problem with mine. Wonderful product!

I bought this in the colour origami, after reading the reviews that the fabric was prone to pilling after washes I was put off but can say I have washed mine several times now and it still looks good as new. Slightly more pink in colour than expected but still a great colour. Keeps you very warm when out walking and can be layered easily, will be great for all seasons. I bought size XS and usually wear a size 8 and the fit is perfect and very flattering.

Would be amazing if not for the pilling

I will be echoing most other reviewers on this product -- this jacket pills like crazy after only a few wears. It would be a great jacket, but the pilling is significant and makes it unsightly to wear out in public. I would also like to make other potential buyers aware that I opened a product service request for this jacket, and I was told that it is not covered under Arcteryx warranty, and that this appearance is normal and to be expected. Ridiculous considering the price.

This years colors are awful

I love the arc Terex covert cardigans and typically buy one or two every season. I have been eagerly awaiting new colors for sometime as the current lineup for women is awful. The colors are muddy and unappealing. I don’t understand why the men’s colors are generally so much better lately. I would’ve been delighted to have purchase any number of the men’s colors and I’ve been so disappointed that the same colors have not been offered in the women’s styles. Arcteryx, please listen and stop offering these muddy, murky, depressing colors for women. Consider some pretty blues. Pale heathered rose pink. Pale Lilac/lavender. Almost anything would be better than what is currently on offer. The product itself is great but I simply cannot wear these colors.

Warm and Amazing!

This covert cardigan is my go-to jacket - inside and out - when it's chilly. I bought a second one based on my near daily wear of the first jacket. My daughter (age 28) has absconded with my new one during her visit during the pandemic. It's obviously not a wind or rain-proof jacket. But it's warm, stylish and so comfortable. I wish Arcteryx would bring back some of the brighter, deeper colors - instead of the dull neutrals.

I loved the last covert sweater I had but this one is disappointing. After wearing a few times there are loads of pilling under both arms. It makes the sweater look old and worn. I really like the sweater but the pilling is less than desirable.

Updated sizing doesn’t fit

I have an old one of these from a few years ago that fits me perfectly, which is incredibly hard to find so I thought I’d buy another one. However I was told that the fitting has been updated and now the same size is far too big, and the smaller size has too short of arms. I’m disappointed, Arc’teryx is usually my go to for well fitted clothes. Other than that, I’m sure it’s a great sweater, but I’ll never know because of the now poor fit.

I received this as a gift and it is such a cozy fleece layer. Other than in the rain, I mostly use this as a stand-alone jacket rather than a base layer since it's so warm. Highly recommend!

Great function- material prone to pilling

I have owned this jacket for about 10 months and used it through the winter and spring hiking season. It has held up well, however there has been a lot of pilling on the jacket and it needs to be “shaved” after every 3-4 wash cycles. If you don’t care about how worn the jacket looks and just need something functional this is a great option.

But if I shave it, I would technically remove materials I have paid for it. One day there won't be material left to shave. That sounds not very convincing buying this product.

I've collected several of these over the years. I think the Covert suits being a jacket more than a hoody because of its clean straight fit, so in jacket form it can look really quite smart. The Kyanite by contrast is figure-hugging and cuddly, so in my opinion suits being a hoody. The Covert is best as a standalone top piece, rather than for layering under a shell, although I've found it pairs very well with the Cerium LT vest in cold conditions. One request to Arcteryx - I see that the men get an LT version, which looks awesome. Please can we ladies get a Covert LT too? I'm sure many of us would love that! Thank you.

Love this jacket! The fit is perfect, not too tight or too loose. The side panel and slightly longer back panel creates a perfect fit. The jacket does not move up as other jackets that have a straight cut all around. It’s a great versatile style that I can wear for a walk and take to work.

I love how this sweater keeps me warm, but the amount of pilling on the fabric after each wash is horrendous. I would get it in another colour if it wasn't for the pilling.
