Ich nutze die Arcteryx Alpine Guide Jacket bereits seit vielen Jahren in der Ausübung meines Berufs als hauptberuflicher Berg- und Skiführer. Die Jacke kommt bei mir sowohl im Winter bei Skitouren oder beim Freeriden zum Einsatz, aber auch im Sommer auf Hochtouren. Diese vielseitigen Einsatzmöglichkeiten schätze ich besonders an diesem Produkt. Im Vergleich zu anderen Oberteilen von Arcteryx fällt diese Gore-Tex Jacke bei mir persönlich eine Nummer kleiner aus in der Größe. Im Bereich der Schultern - bedingt durch die Rucksackträger - fängt die Jacke als Erstes an undicht zu werden. Dies allerdings auch erst nach intensiven Gebrauch. Meine Gäste schätzen an der Jacke v.a. den orangefarbenen Bereich der Kapuze - so können sie mich bei schlechter Sicht stets gut orten. :-) Für unsere Alpinschule haben die Alpine Guide Jacket den Vorteil, dass viele Farben über mehrere Jahre verfügbar sind. So können wir unsere Teambekleidung auch bei Nachbestellungen halbwegs einheitlich halten.

When I look back over the past decades I can confidently say that I’ve been guiding in some of the most hostile climates being based in the Kitimat and Skeena Mountains of the Northwest Ranges of British Columbia. Surprisingly I have no recollection of suffering any discomfort as my gear has always functioned technically as a layering system.

Great Jacket for the worst conditions

As someone who spends a significant time in the mountains both social and conducting Mountain Rescue Operations this is the jacket I always reach for. It had never met me down.
It’s robust, comfortable and works well with my Atom and other layers.
It’s true to size and the hood draw board allow for the adjustment for my helmet or beanie hats.
Great piece of gear I can recommend enough.

Great product, great fit, pockets easy to access even with a backpack. I used it mainly for skiing, even though it doesn’t have a powder it didn’t matter since I used it with a bib pants, in fact it is even better since I find it gives me increased mobility and better air flow. Colored orange hood on blue jacket helped people follow me in the big white snow and fog conditions.

Received jacket.... man, it's light, how the heck is it supposed to do me right in the NE freeze, oh yeahhh layers!! Just make sure you go one more than or thicker than you wore under your old coat. Wore twice so far, no issues, still learning
Pockets!! Guys, how about adding a few inner pockets, a la, side zipper hand pockets with inner pouches would have so done this coat 5 stars.
Complaint, the waist cinch are just not working, weak hold, I miss my old snow skirt on my old jacket, with good old rubber banding inside that kept the snow out.
6'5" 230Lbs, athletic 61yrs old. XL jacket got room, can't say that about a lot of other coats

Been using the jacket for a few months, and it has held up to a fair amount of use and abuse with climbing, search and rescue and some skiing. It’s simplistic, yet awsome at the small details that makes it worth its price. The presice placement of pockets, shape of the arms and cuffs, ajustment of the hood and perfect length of the back are among the best selling points.

Hard Jacket with high quality. What I mean by hard is that it's durable and very very waterproof. I use this jacket for high alpine ski tours and resort work, but also for Ice climbing. Good features and is very practical. Also very easy to see which is really useful.

This jacket was been with my over hundreds of days in some of the worst weather imaginable. It's an essential part of my search and rescue pack in the winter time. I love that it can stand up to anything, the hood fits over a helmet, the pit zips, and the radio pocket. I've never ever used the forearm zips. After 8 years, this product's zipper is starting to wear, but everything else is going strong!

This jacket is amazing and so happy with jacket. I found the sizing chart was a little off after repeated measuring. I measured to be an XL but was actually a LG. Great return process. I only wish they had pockets other then the chest however still an amazing jacket

I bought this as a replacement for my ten year old alpha sv and am still pretty stoked on it after a year of use. In the winter I use it for skiing and ice climbing and have been impressed with how bombproof it feels in storms. It also helps seal in the warmth on those -30C days when you are out skiing. In the summer I used it mainly while guiding and I really like feeling that I have a layer I can depend on even when the weather is miserable. The feature set is just right for this weight of jacket and everything feels very well made. I love how colourful the yellow is too, it makes me very visible. So happy to have pit zips since I sweat a lot. After about 200 days of use this last year, it is holding up well!

Great jacket

Great jacket for severe weather. Perfect for cold and wet conditions. I use it for skiing and search and rescue in mountains. 5’6” and 135lbs and small fits well.

My most-worn winter piece

I worked on a few photos of this jacket, and am really happy with hot it turned out. Climbs well, warm enough but not too warm, proper shell for when you're getting dripped on at belays or suffering through a wet spring storm, just an ideal jacket alpine sports action in colder climates. I often wear it with just a base layer as it warms up, or a Proton FL when it's really cold.

Nichts Besonderes aber sehr teuer!

Ich habe die Jacke vor 1 Jahr gekauft und relativ häufig benutzt. Einmal musst die Jacke zur Reparatur eingeschickt werden, da viele Stellen geklebt und nicht mehr vernäht sind. Die Verklebung löste sich von alleine. Ich war enttäuscht und jetzt löst sich schon wieder eine Naht. Nicht zu empfehlen!!! Viel zu teuer für durchschnittliche Qualität!
