BEST Fitting of the Gamma Pants Series

After trying the Gamma Hybrid, the Gamma Pant, AND the Gamma Tapered, this style was the better fitting of the three. I am 5'10"/145 lbs and the length on the 6R was too short, but the 6T was actually TOO long. However, a local tailor did a lovely job of hemming them for me. I do agree with a previous reviewer that the waist is a tad more loose than expected, but the drawstring helps to keep things taut. The fit everywhere else is perfect, not tight like a legging, but also not a straight leg style like the regular Gamma pant (which looks at little weird to me). I look forward to putting them to use when out walking my dog over our property, hiking in the mountains, or teaching busy 10-year-olds all day.

Perfect pants to walk and hike in

Amazing. I wear these for hiking and walking the dog. So soft and comfortable to wear. Love the waist band that can be cinched if needed. These are perfect!

Good pants but not a good fit

Unfortunately I decided to return these pants as the style wasn’t what I expected.
I wanted a close, slim fit and I was surprised that, although the pull-on style waistband and hip felt comfortable and fitted well, the leg did not fit closely and pushed out in places around the knee so that the profile did not look sleek. However someone with a different leg shape to mine may well be happy with them.
Quality and fabric was excellent as always with Arcteryex - it was just the wrong fit for me.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Comfy but room for improvement in fit

I love the Gamma Tapered Pants, so thought I would try the Hybrid. I have two pairs size 4's in the Gamma tapered and I like the fit, but the waist is a bit big and I wanted it to fit well in these pants so I sized down to a 2. The Hybrid pants fit, and I love the stretch of them. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that the waist fit well (although maybe a tad on the larger side) but the upper legs of the pants are somewhat disproportionately tight. This tightness in the quads seems to be further exacerbated on the right leg based on the positioning of the zipper of the horizontal pocket. I am hoping that the fabric of the legs will stretch a bit over time, and I still like them, but I do think there is room for improvement on the fit. A slightly tighter fit in the stretchy portion of the waist, while providing a bit more space in the quads might be helpful for folks with a bit of extra leg muscle.

Comfortable and great zonal protection

I really like a performance pant with a thick waistband - it's more comfortable when layering, doesn't rub against a backpack hip belt, and is ideal when wearing a climbing harness. I got a size 4 (what I normally wear from Arc'teryx) and was able to wear a merino base layer under the pants. I wore these with the merino base layer while skinning/skiing in ~14 degrees F (not accounting for windchill) and I stayed warm enough without getting sweaty. As someone with Reynauds, I would like more protection/warmth over the butt. Moves well, stretches, protected from wind on the downhill, and A+ zip pockets - I love that there's always a thigh pocket that fits a phone, but would love to see one on either side (as a lefty, it's nice to have options, plus then there's a pocket for a snack. I see these as a go-to for climbing, too, especially with the waistband.
I would love to see soft-shell pant options from Arc'teryx that are boot cut with a zipper so that they fit with ski boots! Please! These tuck into the tops of boots, but a cuff would be ideal.

Love the hybrid version of the Gamma pant! I have had my gamma pant for years. These you can definitely wear to multiple occasions. First I ordered my same size as my original gamma pant but sent them back and got one size down !
