Uncomfortable fabric

While I like the fit of this sweater, it cannot be described as a fleece hoodie. The outside is more rough and technical, as expected, but the inside feels like a recycled material that is quite rough and uncomfortable on the skin. I could only wear this sweater with a long sleeve underneath. Definitely not worth the price tag.

Reliable Fleece

Love the fit and styling of this piece, and would wear this everyday, and during activities. The fabric is intended to be more durable, so it isn't as soft to touch. I sized up to a Med for a looser fit and am happy with sizing (I would usually wear between and S-M in Arc). It's warm and will be wearing it as my outerlayer in Spring and early Fall.

New favorite hoody

I love this hoody- I wore it almost none stop the first week I got it. I’m so happy that Arc’teryx is finally starting to make pullovers for women that are looser/boxier but still flattering. In the past I’ve had trouble with their tighter fit pullover fleeces being too tight in the shoulder and arms, but not with this! It’s cozy while also having structure, and I love how it looks in black! I’m 5’, with an athletic build between 127-130 lbs, and usually wear a small in Arc’teryx. Also bought a size small for this hoody and the fit is perfect for me.

Not what I expected

I usually love Arc’teryx gear and have many different products from them. I was very disappointed in this hoody however. The outside is very rough feeling and while I probably could have lived with that, the inside was also rough. I thought the hoody would be a soft fleece like their other fleece products but it was a very short, almost non existent fleece which was not comfortable against my skin. I bought to use over short sleeves or tanks and the hoody would not be comfortable worn next to my skin. I sent it back. I don’t think the product description matches the actual hoody characteristics.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Excellent fit but beware snagging fabric

I immediately ran to an Arc’teryx store to try this on in person. LOVED and purchased. The fit is so cute, slightly cropped boxy cut. Clean details, quality construction as per Arc’teryx standards. Th sleeves are a wee bit short (but I do have long arms). The fabric is not a fleece, I’d call it a soft shell. It’s a bit stiff but light, I’ve been wearing it non stop! But be warned! The fabric snags easily, my dog put her paws up on me and it immediately snagged. I was able to pull the snags to the inside. Also, the fabric puckers when stretched, so don’t pull it! It will pucker in a waffle pattern (like the inside fabric texture) and not return “bounce back” to its original. Kind of like how skinny jeans with stretch can get that puckered look after they’ve been stretched out. So now I have a $260 hoodie with pucker marks… such is life I guess. For reference, 5’3” 126 lbs, generally wear a Arc’teryx size 2/4 or XS/S. Purchased this in a small, has room to wear a slim sweater under.

Technical, lightweight, quality, and breathable!

I love this hoody jacket, and give it five solid stars! No bulk, comfortable and perfect placement of zippers, one in the upper left chest and two deep side pockets for storing items. The fabric is incredibly lightweight, breathable, technical and high-quality fabric and fleece, perfect for year-round low and high output outdoor activities, layering, occasional casual wear use, and travel. I purchased the black color in size small, and I am 5' 2" and 105 pds. It fits perfectly for me as an oversized fit, but overall, true to size. I plan to buy the hoody jacket in khaki and green. Arcteryx, please release new colors in dark burgundy, dark navy sapphire, and off-white in 2025 and keep up the great work. 👍🏻

Great - But not your typical Polertec

I've been waiting for Arc'teryx to make a womens pull over that isn't super tight and fitted. I am typically a large in items that are "relaxed" fit items and this fits great (not super loose though). I love that it's cropped because it will work great at the range while wearing a gun belt. I'm 5'3 and the crop of a large sits right at or just barely below my belt line. The only thing is, since it says it is "Polartec" I assumed it was the super soft super stretchy typical polartec. It is a different kind, it is sort of like if you were to heat press the polartec into little squares on the inside. It is still comofrtable but not quite what I was expecting, it gives it a more structered feeling than regular but it is still soft and stretchy. You have to go deep into the materials section to see they describe it as "Polartec Power Air" Nothing on the main page suggests its different, plus they never give up close photos of the material (specifically the insides of jackets). All in all it is a great purchase and I'll be buying another color in an XL to size up for a slightly baggy look.
