Not the Best Quality Arc'teryx Product

The fit is good, its warm and looks great. But the current Covert Cardigan is below the high quality expectations I have for based on numerous other Arc'teryx products I own. Made in China. So thin it's see-through. I am concerned it may wear through too soon. Not even a hangar loop guys? Really? That seems cheap, especially for Arc'teryx's price.

Has jacket less than a year but pulling is starting to build up on the front jacket pocket area. For the price was expecting the material to hold up better.

I've had this for over 3 years now. I wear it once a week at least, from Sept to April. It's stylish and functional. I can wear it to a casual night out or when hiking or exercising. It hasn't frayed or gotten those annoying little fabric balls. Ironically the shoulder pocket is VERY functional when you go to Dave and Busters for the payment card.

very warm sweater

very high quality, the "alpenex heathered" does the job and it is very warm, fits even to 6-7 degrees (ces) and maybe less i didn"t check. my first time in arcteryx and i am very happy and i recommend also to freinds, it have two layers all over the chest and in the pockets, each winter my hands get's cold and now with these sweater and my hands inside the pockets i don't have this problem!!! (i was very suprised from that) i wear several companies (marmot mountain hardwear) and i think that arcteryx is one off the quality companies. meybe the sweater is a little expensive but i think it worth the price to those who knows about quality

Need a warm mid layer? Need a fleece that doesn’t look like ski attire? Need it to fulfill multiple roles in your life? Here is your new fleece to consider.
The relaxed fit allows this jacket to be used as a mid layer without having the armpit seems wedged into your armpits. This is great for comfort, mobilty and not smelling like a mountain goat later in the day after skiing or snowboarding. No one likes pit sweat from tight synthetic clothing, besides synthetics tend to promote more BO over natural fibers.
Because of the jackets more mature look, it can be worn for your casual get together or when you simply want to be cozy without looking like a ski bum.

Great stand-alone and insulation piece

I obtained the covert cardigan a few months ago and used it for a few weeks straight. It worked great and is a piece that is comfortable enough that I would totally rock it on a weekend just hanging around the house. Could literally wear it all day. Let some air in but works well for mid temps. Now that the temp is dropping, it has been working great as a layer underneath a windbreaker. I am 6' 165lb and athletic. The LG fits me perfect.

I purchased the grey version about a year ago. I'm 5'9, 160lbs and the small is form fitting, the sleeves are a bit long but I think that is by design.
It looks very good unzipped 1/4 of the way with a collared shirt underneath, like a sporty and less "fratty" 1/4 zip from that other brand.
Only gripe for me is that it isn't very warm. I wear it inside more than anything.

Very happy with the quality and fit. Based on some other reviews I ordered one size smaller than normal for myself and the fit is perfect. Not very bulky but still warm for the normal temperatures in my area of around 40°F/5°C. Not windproof but I feel it does a good job of restricting enough wind for everyday wear.

Keeps your temperture perfect when outside temperture changes from medium cold to warm. Suitable for activity or just reading a good book. Looks nice with a formal shirt and casual with at polo shirt. Simply a great all round pice of clothing.

What an awesome mid layer.
I am extremely impressed with this piece as I was looking for something warm, something I could wear around the office, and something I could wear out around the town. This really does check all of the boxes. The other impressive thing is that it is extremely light! Lighter than I expected. I have an old Regent cardigan, and I thought this would be similar…it is WAY lighter.
I do gave the Patagonia better sweater, which I'll admit I do love. However, it is much heavier and thicker, whereas this cardigan is thinner, lighter, and (from what I can tell) equally as warm.
Very happy with this product.

Favorite Arcteryx piece I own

My first love of arcteryx and hasn't let me down yet. I've lived in the covert for 3 years and hardly showing wear. Can use it casually, for skiing, cooler rock climbing, mountaineering, ice climbing, or cooler hiking. It breathes, it's warm, it blocks just enough wind, its great looking. I'm going to purchase one with a hood so I can use it more as a technical mid layer.

I have many Arc'teryx products including several jackets. This product is consistent with the standards I expect. Products are all great values because the are durable and wear extremely well. Specifically, this jacket is very comfortable. The clean lines make a discreet statement and wearable with khakis, jeans or active gear. The knit is comfortable enough to leave on indoors when it's chilly. It fits nicely over a t-shirt or button up shirt.

I now own two Covert Fleece's; one for around the house and car, and one for office during those days when you want a little more warmth. It's great for hiking when you only need something light, and not layers or water proof. The Covert is 'comfort' with a natural feel and fits slightly large which is great as I prefer most outwear a little loose. Try wearing your Covert with a pair of felt 'Glerups' slippers - two friends that you'll want to always keep close by. Enjoy.

Not as perfect my other Arcteryx clothes

It's a nice jacket and I use it quite a bit, but I don't find it as well designed as other Arcteryx clothes I have. The front of the reasonably stiff collar rubs the underside of my chin, and the cuffs and hem bottom are a noticeable presence. None of my other Arcteryx clothes have hem problems like that (Zeta, Nodin, Gamma, Atom, Delta). From anyone other than Arcteryx, I'd say its a good piece but it could be improved.

I've just had my Convert Cardigan for several weeks, so I can't comment on durability. I'm sure, based on experience with past Arcteryx products, this will not be an issue.
The fit of the Cardigan is on the larger side. I am 6'2" tall and weight 187 lbs. I wear a size medium, which fits me perfectly. This is despite the fact that I wear a size large in nearly every other Arcteryx piece I own. Despite having to size down, it is the perfect balance between comfort, performance, and looks. I use this, mainly, as an everyday jacket, but occasionally will wear it under a rain shell when hiking. It works perfectly for this.
I get many compliments on its appearance. The way Arcteryx can make a fleece jacket look like a wool sweater is pretty awesome.
All-in-all, I'm really happy with it. It is quickly becoming my most used piece of Arcteryx kit.
