Question 1

When Arcteryx is going to start making Gamma pants and Gamma SL pants in size 12 short?

Nemo · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. At this time, the Women's Gamma Pants in size 12 are not offered in the short length, and we do not have any immediate plans to offer this size. That being said, we understand that a 12-S size would be ideal for certain users and we'd be happy to share this feedback with our product team as they continue to refine our size range.

Question 2

directions for how to adjust length of pants, please.

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Peggy, thanks for reaching out. The Gamma Pant does not feature an adjustable length. That said, it comes in three inseam lengths – Short (S), Regular (R), and Tall (T). To find the best fit, we recommend comparing your full body measurements to our size chart, as this will give you the most accurate guidance for a comfortable fit. We hope this helps!

Question 3

Would these be good for skate skiing? I would wear a warmer base layer. Skiing in temperatures anywhere from -5 to -20.

Helio, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thank you for your question! We do not recommend using the Gamma Pants for skiing. While these pants offer durability, breathability, and wind resistance for hiking, climbing, and other all-mountain activities, they don't provide the level of weather protection needed for skiing in cold conditions, even with a warm base layer. Further, they are not designed to fit over a ski boot, and they do not have any snowsport-specific features. If you are looking for pants to wear skiing in cold conditions, we recommend checking out our ski/snow-specific models, such as the Sentinel, the Rush, the Incendia, or the Andessa: https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/c/womens/pants. We hope this helps!

Question 5

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there, we appreciate your interest in the Gamma pants and your request for expanded short inseam sizing, including 12S. While we do not have an exact date to share, your input is valuable and helps us understand where the demand is. Our design and merchandising teams are actively exploring ways to broaden size availability across key styles, and feedback like yours plays an important role in shaping those decisions.

Question 6

Is there a pant with a front rise of greater than 30cm?

Also, what is the front rise for sizes 10R/12R

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Christa, thanks for reaching out. The Gamma Pant has a front rise of 25.4 cm in size 10-R and 26.0 cm in size 12-R. At this time, we do not offer a pant in size 10-R or 12-R with a front rise of 30 cm or greater. That said, we’ll be sure to share your feedback with our product team for future consideration. We hope this helps!

Question 7

Could you compare the size and design of this pants to the gamma lightweight pants ( X000007064 - 0224X000007064 - 02/24 GAMMA LIGHTWEIGHT PANT W ) of last year in 4S?

Sophie · Accepted Answer

Hi Fatima, thanks for your question! The design of both pants is quite similar, but the fabric differs. The Gamma Pant uses a heavier, more durable softshell for superior wind protection and weather resistance, making it suitable for colder, more demanding conditions. The Gamma Lightweight Pant is made with a lighter, more breathable softshell for warmer conditions. The sizing is similar, however, we've included three key measurements of each item in size 4S for comparison. We hope this helps!

Gamma Pant (X000010033)
Waist: 75.0 cm
