Disappointing bib that ripped after 5th use skiing

Unfortunately these pants are not durable. After about 5 uses from a rather low key, non-aggressive skier, the pants have already torn/ripped which is not covered under the warranty. This is unfortunately quite far from what I would expect for the quality/price of these pants. The unfortunate and challenging reality for Arcteryx is that there is an expectation of higher quality for the price point, however, in practice, Arcteryx will need to stand behind products that tear/rip that easily under their warranty, otherwise buyers will start to consider alternative brands.

I definitely prefer durability over lightness. I don't recommend.

Perfect Touring Bibs

This is my first pair of bibs and was pleasantly surprised how comfortable they were for ski touring. The fit was perfect and the ability to vent the bibs when going uphill is very nice. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Staying dry

I've only used it once so far but it was a classic wet snow day. The bibs kept me dry the whole day which is really it's #1 job. I would love if the top pocket was a bigger. I never noticed it the whole day skiing which is a sign of good design. I would have bought a Short inseam if they offered it in the 2025 version but the regular was fine over ski boots.

Flawed design

I’m 6’2”, 195lbs and have a 34” waist. I went for XL. My mm biggest problem with this pant is that the shoulder straps keep slipping off during skiing or snowboarding. It’s very annoying. I’ve tried crossing the straps but that didn’t work. I ended up purchasing a tri glide slider off amazon that does the trick. Major design flaw in my opinion.

Sabre bibs

Used these opening week of skiing and after the first day it was cold with blowing snow. The bibs did what I expected, keeping the wind out. I ordered the medium, being about 5'9" with a 32" waist I was able to have all the insulation necessary under the pants.
The only change I would appreciate would be a slightly deeper pocket in the bib.

J'adore la salopette Sabre, elle est très polyvalente pour toutes les conditions hivernales. Je l'ai utilisée la saison dernière pour le ski et la randonnée alpine et elle s'ajuste très bien avec tous les autres produits multi-couches d'Arc'terix.

I really want to order this product but the lack of sizing options (specifically short inseam) means that this product will not work for me. This would be the perfect snowboarding bib if there were more sizing options.

I had the same issue with the longer inseam last season. I waited for a restock on the taller option, but I was never able to buy them. This was the last quality product I knew of that came in different lengths. Many of the other options on the market don't have the same features so I'm pretty disappointed.
