Bad Fit

Jacket is great for Fall, Early Spring, Great Mid Base Layer. BUT:
Arc’teryx Quality has gone down hill. Sizing is absolutely Wrong!
Large is XLarge, Medium is Small. There is No Medium!
Also Customer Service has declined drastically !
No Response To Customer Complaints!
They Delete Negative Reviews
Customer Service in Store is horrible, they try to sell you something you never asked for!
For a jacket that’s double the competition, I wolkd expect stellar customer service.
Sadly Not No More from Arc’teryx!

The Gamma MX Hoody is designed to be water- and wind-resistant for versatile use, but it isn’t fully waterproof. For more reliable rain protection, we’d recommend a GORE-TEX option like the Beta line, which is built to keep you dry in sustained wet conditions.

Seems more like a LT of old...

Wanted to get a MX Hoody for mostly winter uphill etc; have a MX jakcet from quite a few years back( and MX pants too) but as many would probably agree having a hood in inclement weather is really handy. Fit etc is all good but the first thing that really stood out is that this new hoddy is quite a bit lighter than my (old) MX jacket...feels more like the old LT. Will just have to try out different baselayers( Rho Lt/Phase etc) and see what works best fro those colder days.

Zero water repellant / shower proof

Terrible jacket. Zero water repellent/ shower proof. Ruined a weekend for me, will not buy Arc again

Different colour different sizing

Very versatile jackett. I have bought this in two colours: black and dynasty. The black one is looser than the dynasty one. It's odd consdering the brand and the price lewel. Same size different true size. The difference is not very big but big enouht so it's too noticeable. Manufacturing fails. Notice that both of the colours are the revised fit. Only three monts between orders. I have to say that this hoody is very good and highly recomentation.
