Very disappointed

Very disappointed. I wore them backcountry cross country skiing and they are essentially useless once you’ve put a bit of snow on them. They stayed damp for hours so they provided zero warmth.

Wrist, cuff and fingers are way too big

Giving 2 stars because I have owned these gloves for about 10 years and I prefer the old version way more. I owned a model from around 2016 and they've been my favorite glove since then for all spring, fall and winter activities. I've recommended them to many friends as well. The material on my old pair finally wore aware so much that there are holes in the finger tips so I decided to re-buy. Unfortunately the fit and design of this updated version is quite different. My old pair was a size small, and all other gloves I wear are small and this new size small is way too big. The fingers are about 1cm too long and the wrist and cuff are HUGE. The cuff material is a stretch knit, so expected to be snug on the wrist but there is a 3cm open gap, which allows wind to come in and makes the gloves shift around on my hand/handlebar because it doesn't hold in place. The material is still great and I do like that there is no leather on the palm now (because it would just get wet heavy and stay cold), but I much prefer the previous versions fit, and cuff design.

Updated fit is different - boxy & bulky

Fit is completely different from previous versions. I have had two pairs of Venta gloves prior to this version. I loved those gloves. They were fantastic active and casual daily gloves. They fit like a second skin. This version is very boxy, bulky, and hinders dexterity. I was gifted a new pair in XL, the same size as I have had previously, based on the size chart. They do not fit. Maybe the next size down would fit better, I don't know.

Do not hold up

These gloves look great but they do not hold up. Multiple seams begin to tear only a few short months after wearing them. They are very tight to get on.

Great disappointment

I received as a gift they and they provided no warmth. I took them off and was actually better. I will not be using them again . Would not recommend, if zero stars was an option I would have chosen it

Great Glove, Not so great sizing

The glove itself is amazing (if I could have worn them). High quality, thin but enough padding. I measured my hand based off the chart and ordered small. They fit my husband who has a pair in size large. Not sure if I got a defective one. They were over an inch too big in the fingertips. Re0ordering an XS and hopefully they fit as they are not returnable.

Disappointingly Cold - Fails Basic Wind Protection

These gloves are useless for warmth below freezing. Unless you are running, your hands will freeze. Also I would say that they are not very windproof either, especially through the palms of the gloves.

Terrible fit

The old model was literally perfect, I was wearing them for 5 years, but I lost one glove and bought the new version. The fit is terrible and quality is not the same either. I hope they will return the old version, because this is ridiculously uncomfortable.

They fit good, however the seam is coming undone after less than 6 uses, which were just running, not actually physically using the gloves for anything, just warmth. I expected much more from this brand.

Bought them and the hem at the top ripped (twice), after a few uses. I bought 2 pairs and both ripped in the same place. A but pricey for not very long lasting use.

Weirdly long middle finger, seams on inside are way too big and rub against fingers, offers less wind protection than a dish glove. The perfect glove if you want less dexterity with almost zero added protection! I purchased them at a retailer and unfortunately can't return them used. Utterly junk and basically useless.

Sizing issue, insulation issue.

I am a full and long term Arcteryx user, have most of your gear - high output hike, snow sport, climb and run. And I have to echo these sentiments. Fit is very big to my normal sizing, during a mid altitude (2500m - 3000m) high output mountaineering trip in early spring in the southern hemisphere, they were cold.. maybe 5 - 7 deg c. Nothing crazy cold but exactly where I would put these as a high output lightweight glove. I swapped them for my backup pair of cheap, lightweight Decathlon gloves and the difference was immense.. Theres no doubt about it, guys, you make the best gear out there for the most part, but there's a real issue with this sizing and with the insulation. Sadly disappointed for the first time, from an avid outdoor enthusiast and fan. Hope you revise the design and get it right, there's a need for this line, but these won't make it into my pack again. Happy to test the new version anytime for you ;)

Great for ice climbing!

Great fit and super comfortable.
Unbelievably warm for the weight, if you’re using it while exercising. I used it for alpine climbing, crossing glaciers, so handling ropes and stuff.
But by far the best “ice climbing gloves” ever!

Great material. Not so good fit.

I purchased these primarily for x-c skiing. The material is right. The fit, not so much. I'm curious if a size down would work better!?
My suggestion is to articulate the fingers and palm for gripping so they don't bunch up while holding ski poles. I'm surprised they are not articulated for holding poles as they are advertised for x-c skiing.
I've repurposed these for walks, hikes and colder cycle commutes.

Ich kann hier einige negative Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen.
Das liegt wohl auch daran, dass jeder Mensch eine andere Handform und unterschiedliches Temperaturemfinden hat. Da kann der Handschuh an sich jedoch nichts dafür.
Bei ein und derselben Handschuhgröße haben Menschen mal kürzere und mal längere Finger. Das ein Handschuh, welcher nicht maßgefertigt ist, dann absolut perfekt passt, wird wohl eher Zufall, als die Regel sein. Die Hersteller versuchen halt, so gut es geht, das gesamte Spektrum irgendwie abzudecken.
Auch Temperatur empfindet jeder anders. Manche Menschen frieren viel schneller, als andere.
Bis 0°C hält der Venta meine Hände sehr gut warm.
Und er ist dabei nicht zu dick, was mir sehr gut gefällt.
Die Passform ist auch gut beschrieben. Bei meiner Handschuhgröße 8,5 passt Größe M perfekt.
Am Anfang machte besonders die Beschuchtung auf der Innenseite keinen besonders robusten Eindruck auf mich.
Jetzt nach einem halben Jahr Nutzung beim Gassigehen mit zwei Hunden (die Leinen reiben also immer in den Handinnenflächen) muss ich sagen, dass ich mich da geirrt habe. Die Beschichtung zeigt kaum Abnutzungsspuren, scheint also doch sehr robust zu sein.
Der Venta ist zudem sehr gut verarbeitet. Die Nächte im Inneren drücken auch kein Bisschen. Auch nicht mit Hundeleinen in der Hand. ;-)
Die Handschuhe halten zudem mittelstarken Regenschauern eine zeitlang stand. Bei stärkeren und/oder längeren Regen wird es dann allerdings irgendwann nass.
Das ist aber kein Problem, da sie schnell trocknen. Auch das Waschen in der Waschmaschine stellt kein Problem dar.
Grundsätzlich ist der Venta halt ein Allroundhandschuh und als das ist er auch beschrieben und erfüllt diesen Zweck hervorragend.
Wenn ich weiß, dass ich in längeren Regen unterwegs bin, nehme ich wasserdichte Handschuhe mit. Wenn ich weiß, dass es sehr kalt ist, greife ich zu entsprechenden dicken Winterhandschuhen.
Der Venta dient für alles dazwischen und das meistert er sehr gut.
Zudem finde ich es klasse, dass es ihn nicht nur in schwarz gibt. ;-)

These gloves are awesome. Very thin, light and dexterous but windproof and keep dry even working in snow. Surprisingly warm for how thin they are. Great grippy material. I have used a lot of light gloves these are the best I’ve ever found.

Ok gloves for fall/ early winter days

These gloves are pretty comfortable and provide good protection but they are not super warm. If it’s mildly cold your hands will get cold. If youre looking for some gloves to wear for protection on a mild day then they work pretty well. The seams on the inside are a little bulky and uncomfortable but you get used to it.

Poor gloves

Had these as a present. Sad to see how much was spent on them as they were very poor, even if weather that wasn’t that cold. Used on a recent hiking trip in Scotland in April and my hands were freezing cold. Wouldn’t waste your money.

Unisex Sizing is a Swing and a Miss!!

Unisex Sizing is a Problem. If the gloves fit, I would give them 5 stars, they are great! I have an original pair of the Venta Gloves, in a women’s small from 3+ years ago, LOVE THEM. Well love IT bc I lost one on a road trip. Ok, Ill buy a new pair, well beware of the description that says “revised” bc now they are unisex. I ordered exactly by the sizing guide and the extra small is much too big. I do not have small hands, they are average size. Sadly, there aren’t gloves available in ladies sizing. Sure this makes the manufacturing and warehousing cheaper and easier, but I wonder how many women return them for the same reason. Penny wise and pound foolish.
