I love this sun hoodie! I wear it skiing, hiking, mtb, on location photoshoots, yard work, ect: if you are outside in any sun this is a must have. Its wonderful as a base layer for cold days or your shirt for the hot day. ALSO IT DREIS SOOOOO FAST.
This will keep you from getting absolutely cooked by the sun, if your like me and spend as much time as you can outside, your skin will thank you for this purchase. My go to is the lime green colorway from a few seasons ago, but I have started buying white and dyeing them myself. My only complaint is WE NEED BETER COLORS! Also built in thumb loops are clutch. Toss this on, throw your favorite t-shirt on over and now your swaged up and sun protected. In the winter I run my base layer under the Cormac and build from there.

Performs well - fits a bit wide

Very lightweight and comfortable. My one knock against it is that the cut is a bit wide and boxy, so it can fit awkwardly, but that is more appearance. Performance-wise it dries super fast, and is a fantastic light layer for hikes and runs.

Good but wish the fabric was smooth

The fit of this hoody is great. The hood fits in a way that doesn't look dorky like other sun hoodies.
The material is also amazing in terms of how quickly it dries. The construction is also much better than competing brands.
The two problems are - (1) the material is a bit scratchy on the inside. I wish they made the interior of the fabric smooth instead of textured. (2) Pure white instead of the eggshell would look so much cleaner.

Too warm for a summer sun shirt

As a fair skinned outdoors person, I was looking to add a few more sun shirts to my collection to protect myself on those 25C+/75F+ days. These hoodies are advertised as "UPF 40+ protection for trail runs and high-output adventures." Ultimately I think they're too warm/thick for that purpose.

Super breathable fabric. Also super fragile.

Very comfy. Very breathable. I love this piece so much that I ended with 5 of them, LS and SS. But the fabric is very fragile. Not durable at all. I already have small hole on them. And I didn’t even wear them for big adventures.

Great hoody. Very good protection on those sunny days. It has loose fit and is made of very light material that keeps you cool. Like all polyester products tends to get smelly, but I won’t take any stars away because of that as it’s not unexpected.

I bought this for sunny hikes or being out in the sun all day and during my camping trip and hiking at Mt Townsend in Washington State. The Cormac Hoody was very helpful with protecting me from the sun especially hiking through the ridgeline with now shade and having the hoody really protected my face from the sun. The great thing about the Cormac hoody was the breathability and lightweight of it really help me survive the 85 degree weather.

I have had the hoody for a couple of weeks now and I must say it has become my favorite hiking shirt. I burn easily but wearing l/s shirts outside in the summer is way too hot. This hoody breathes great so I stay cool. The hood keeps me from becoming bacon.

- Hood was too baggie (would be fine with a helmet)
- Body length too long, sleeves too short (sz L, I’m 6’3”)
- Slightly baggy (I’m 185lbs, and usually wear a L but this was a bit too relaxed fit for me)
- very minor but the Arcteryx logo felt oddly small, not a big deal but the hoodie was too blank in that color in person

This fabric is really amazing for hot weather hiking. Used it for the first time last week in the French Vogeses. It really keeps me dry, even on mid day in the full sun. In combination with a cap and the hoody it was a great protection for the sun. I will defenately get some more shirts from this fabric for running and hiking!

Excellent sun/warm weather hoody; versatile for all around summer wear in the sun; great breathability and full sun protection; fits well.
Wore in Mexico for a multi day trip including long ocean days; versatile in the cooler mornings/evenings.
Hood stays up with wind and covers the forehead nicely if you don't have a hat.

Similar feel to the 2023 Cormac sun hoody. I got in the light blue daybreak colourway. It's not see through. I think the fit is slightly a little slimmer than last year's medium size, but still well fitting. 5' 9" and 180lbs. These shirts excel in the summer heat when exercising and when out and about. I was more comfortable wearing this sun hoody in Florida's August heat and humidity than when I was in a t-shirt with sun screen slathered on. I'm a fan for life.

Almost perfect. I use this shirt to climb in the sun a lot and its to short. It immediately comes out of my harness when I reach up. Could Arc' please make a tall version or just make the base sizes have a longer torso by a few inches please.
