Wind protection and breathability unite!

I took the Norvan Insulated Pant on a 7 mile steeeeeep run at Smith Rock State Park - early morning, 36 degrees with probably cooler wind chill - I was stressed about the uphill and downhill temp/sweat difference, but the pants just did their job - Kept me warm and protected on the flats, breathed out the back on the uphills and fiercely protected on the downhills.

Jeg elsker denne buksen. Den er stor i str. Jeg er 1.69 og 74kg startet på stor. 12R Nå har jeg en perfekt i 8R og en litt løslig i 10R ( stor over hofter og i livet) Kort i beina men perfekt lengde for meg. Meget luftig og lett, varm nok til mine fjellturer, nå i vinter og til hverdagsbruk.

Perfect winter running pant

I bought these to replace my Proton pants. Excellent fill in the upper section of the legs to provide warmth without being too much. Other comments are right about the short length, but luckily for me (5’2”), it works in my favour. Perfect for winter running, but also effect for XC skiing and à base layer for downhill skiing.

I just got these pants and wore them in the Rockies ski touring under my shell pants today. It was a very chilly day, -26 in the morning with a wind chill of -40 (not recommended for a day in the mountains), however, these pants made the experience oh soooo much better. They are cozy and fit well. I'm thinking of getting another pair!

Warm & perfectly breathable

I wear these pants under my shell pants for both ice climbing and skiing. I am prone to getting very cold on my thighs and backside, and these work amazingly well. I know they were designed for running, but they work better than anything I've tried for long days in single-digit temps paired with a shell. The length is also perfect for pairing with a ski or mountaineering boot. I only wish they had made more fun colors!

One slight downside is the length, which runs a bit short; however, the absence of zippers or buttons at the bottom hem is a smart and enhances comfort and avoids snags. Overall, the Norvan Insulated Pant is a well-thought-out and functional option for anyone tackling winter adventures.

New favourite winter pants

Bought these for winter running/hiking, but have worn them for x-country skiing as well, and am surprised at how much a like them. I have even found myself wearing them as lounge/apres pants when it’s cold. These have quickly become one of my fav winter articles of clothing, and I would even try them on super cold days under my sentinel pants for snowboarding. Highly recommend!

Great Pant, Must be Redesigned to Add Pockets

First the positives: I find these pants to be very warm and insulating. They are comfortable down to below freezing when moving and that is great. The problem is that there are no pockets! These pants must be updated to add pockets - they are simply essential for everyone. I'm not sure what goes through the minds of product designers when they think pockets wouldn't be desired on any pant that's not a base layer. If I'm being picky, I'd like to see a softer waistband as well, but that's a nit.
