I use my Rush for a resort skiing shell and have been loving it. It’s incredibly light, easy to layer under and has amazing wind/waterproofing - especially with the storm hood up it really is a fortress. Sleeve pocket is great for an RFID pass and the jacket has a great amount of pockets in total. Fit is quite true to size in my opinion.

Perfect fit and style for backcountry skiing in all weather conditions

I’ve always been kind of between sizes for ARC’TERYX jackets(6’3”, 205). Having said that, the XL has always been a pretty solid fit and allows for some layering. In a large the sleeves and torso have always been just a little too short especially if layering. So naturally I ordered an XL. I really wanted to like this jacket but when it arrived I realized to my dismay that ARC’TERYX had oddly changed their sizing, and not in any way that makes any sense at all. They went ahead and made large which was already a little too small, ever since slightly smaller through the chest, and shockingly made the XL significantly larger. Make no mistake, we’re talking a significant upsize. Why they made the already fitted large smaller and then the XL larger still had me scratching my head. Maybe they have a sense of humor, if so I really do appreciate the effort. Seemed like a great Jacket, but until ARC'TERYX re-adjusts their sizing to something more sensible look like I’ll be getting my ski jackets elsewhere.

Love the color and design, but the DWR is worthless out of the box, water only beads up if it’s misting and wets out quickly

This is surprising and somewhat disappointing for a premium jacket made with Gore-Tex Pro, which is marketed as a robust material for rugged use. Overall, while the Arc'teryx Rush Jacket is impressive in terms of performance and aesthetics, potential buyers should keep in mind that the "Black Magic" colorway may be more prone to visible wear. This could be a concern for those expecting long-term durability from such a high-end piece. If you're focused on performance, it's still an excellent choice, but for those prioritizing aesthetics or resistance to wear, you might want to consider a different color or alternative jackets. At this price point you're getting a waterproof layer with No snow skirt, No snow cuffs, two way vents under the armpits which are actually not two way because both zips open on the same side and No radio/phone inside pocket (a thin mesh that can rip from the weight of the phone or corners of radio doesn't count). So I'm really baffled how you can call this a backcountry ski jacket that has no ski jacket features?

Love it! I bought the same jacket 18 years ago, got tons do great use out of it skiing, climbing, trekking in all weather. I’m already using my new jacket, it feels great and looking forward to another great 18 years wearing it!

Well-placed pockets, including a sleeve pocket for an RFID pass, and a helmet-compatible hood come in handy. Great Gore-Tex fabric, sealed zippers, and good ventilation. The dark magic colour is stylish. I know shell jackets are not designed to provide warmth, but in my opinion, this jacket is too thin/lightweight for a snowboard shell. The previous model was a hybrid of 80D and 100D, but this current version features only an 80D construction. Also, the lack of a powder skirt is a huge disappointment. I would definitely recommend The Arc'teryx Rush as a great all-around lightweight shell, but I wouldn't recommend it for snowboarding due to its light construction and lack of a powder skirt.

Awesome backcountry / touring ski jacket. Perfext for layering. My second Rush jacket but in my opinion, the last gen was better. They removed the powder skirt in the new version, what is the point, even just to remove a few gram!

Picked up the Rush jacket in black, size L and couldn't be happier. for reference, i am 5'11" and ~175 lbs and the jacket fits very well with layers (looks great too even without many layers). i prefer a slightly more relaxed style, however not too baggy. the jacket tickes all the boxes for me - can't wait to use it for everything.

Still Go big or Go home gore tex pro just Awesome only little prob no skirt inside but seriously if you are real rider with bib its not necessary

Durable and lightweight. Perfect jacket for both resort and backcountry adventures. I like the relaxed fit so I can easily put whatever insulation layer underneath.

This jacket is my favorite. It accompanied me on my autumn trek through Patagonia and even in the rain, cold and ever-present wind it provided me with full comfort. It ventilated perfectly during difficult crossings with a heavy pack on my back and shows no signs of use!

Great baggy fit for layering. The oversized front pockets are perfect for stuffing snacks, gloves and layers when you don't need them, but want them close. The snow skirt is also much appreciated for deep powder days.

Excellent jacket for all weather. When it’s cold just add some layers, I personally use the Proton as a mid layer, and you are good to go. On warm days you can simply have a base layer and fleece and you good to go. The jacket is bulletproof from wind and snow! Enjoy

Women's Rush jacket has TWO chest pockets but men's Rush has only ONE chest pocket. Why not make men's Rush has two check pockets so there is a consistent design on the same line for both men's and women's Rush jackets. Also from the cosmetic standpoint. two symmetric chest pockets is looking much better than one chest pocket. One inside chest pocket is looking better than one outside chest pocket.

Purchased the rush jacket and had issues with the sizing. I’m normally a medium in all Arc’teryx products but I found myself in between sizes in this jacket. The medium fit pretty baggy which was nice for layering but it was just too baggy for my body shape. I tried the small as well and it fit pretty nicely but just way too tight in the chest/ shoulder areas. I wanted to use this jacket but couldn’t make the size work for me. For the right body size this jacket is great though. Fabric felt durable, had lots of storage for ski/snowboarding and was super lightweight.

Solid Jacket no complaints. You can definitely tell this GORE-TEX is thicker(?) than the lower denier ones and gives you confidence to stay dry and warm. Can get a just slightly tight around the lats when wearing layers like hoodies or sweaters but its not a problem if ur layering with proper layers like an Atom. This probably wont be an issue if your lats and chest were never intentionally developed though. My dimensions: Height: 178cm Weight: 79kg Chest: 109cm

Nice jacket, but the DWR sucks, it only holds up to drizzle ,once it rains it wets out, even when brand new, Hopefully this is a one off as I returned it and got a new one from REI. Also, since it’s a ski jacket, not sure why they eliminated the powder skirt and it should have a two-way front zipper and a waist draw cord would be nice

I am going to return, I thought long and hard but as a normal guy, etc, the color was neither fun nor cool, sorry!

J'adore le look du manteau Rush! Il se démarque et s'agence parfaitement avec les pantalons ou salopettes Arcteryx. Il est amplement grand pour porter par dessus un duvet, même peut-être un peu trop à mon goût. Le hood est aussi très grand et permet d'être porté par dessus le casque. Niveau qualité, c'est irréprochable. Je n'ai jamais eu une signe d'usure sur ce manteau!

I have a serious concern for Arcteryx's warranty support and Rush Jacket's durability. My Rush jacket is 15 month old and probably used about 20 days snowboarding. I usually do 5 days long trips at times. I do wash my gears after each trips with proper detergents (Grangers) following Arcteryx's instruction. My Rush jacket is experiencing likely top layer fabric failure along the left lateral torso seams. Arcteryx attributes these to "fabric abrasion occurs when pressure and movement are applied to the material". I do not wear backpack with Rush Jacket. I cannot think what would cause this pressure damage to "Most Rugged 3L Gore-Tex Pro". Super disappointed with Rush jacket and Arcteryx support.
