A Great Little Hat

I use the hat when I am gardening and I like it because it is nice and light and doesn't allow any critters to fall down my neck when I am under bushes and trees. It also provides some protection from mosquitoes landing on my neck and head area. It is also cooler than the straw hat I normally wear.

Product description incorrect - does not adjust

I think this hat could be great - if the product description was accurate. There is no way to adjust this hat, despite it saying so in the features/product description. I would say it fits large, though I do have a small head. It is light weight and the other features are nice, but since it doesn't have the one I always need in a hat (adjustment) it will never stay on my head. Chatted with online support, and initially got "the adjustment is under the cape" response. I provided photos of the area they said the adjustment was in, and apparently stumped the team, as the reply was they couldn't confirm if the adjustment was there or not, and would have to look into it more. Bottom line - if you want adjustment, don't get the hat. If you don't care about that, it seems like it could be a winner.

Very well-designed and functional

Just wore this hat for 30 miles while backpacking in the Colorado Rockies. I can testify that it is light, comfortable, cool, and well-designed. Didn’t blow off in windy conditions and great sun protection! I highly recommend.

Très bon barrage à la chaleur et brûlure du soleil

Sous le soleil de plomb, humidex 42, je jardinait pendant 3h de temps. J’avais l’impression que la casquette et la voile repoussaient la chaleur. Très respirant et agréable à porter pendant des heures. Je le recommande vivement aux agriculteurs et aus sauveteurs de natation. J’aimerais que Arc’teryx rajoute plus de longueurs à la voile, qu’elle tombe au niveau des épaules pour couvrir les épaules, quand on l’attache au cou, la voile remonte et avec le vent, elle se déplacerai moins. La couleur rouge est souhaitée aussi pour les sauveteurs.

Fit is great, material is suspect

One run and the hat is a great way to keep the sun off, light weight, stretchy fit, very comfortable. Washing instructions are concerning, recommended not to wash it as it releases micro plastics…..a running hat that you can’t wash? Not good. What happens when I sweat with this material on my head!? 2025 why are we using such a material Arc’teryx?

- a month agoI agree with Scott. This is concerning. A hat you can’t wash because it might release micro plastics into the environment but we should have no concern when wearing it on our head soaking wet from sweat when running in the sun all day?Was this helpful?

Nearly Perfect

Nearly perfect. This is going to be incredible for backpacking. Wore it for a 20 mile run in the sun and it kept me nice and shaded. Outstandingly lightweight and icy looking as hell. Super comfortable. Only thing I’d change is an option to tighten the band for windy conditions, as the brim and flaps would catch gusts while I was running and it would fly back a bit. It also fell into my face when I was looking down on descents.
