Great cold weather jacket

I'm a huge fan of the Atom Hoody, especially for those days which are especially frigid. This is my go-to jacket whenever the temperature drops below ~50 degrees, since it's lightweight while providing plenty of warmth and protection from the wind. The fit and feel are great - it's snug enough to keep me warm but not so tight that I'm uncomfortable. My only (minor) critique is that the sleeves are a bit long for me. Excited to bring this on my next camping/backpacking trip in the fall/winter months, since I know it'll hold up and keep me comfortable.

Poor durability and after purchase support

I love the fit, contour, design and overall feel and insulation of this hoody. The issue is the fabric is horrendous durability in regards to abrasion. After extremely mild usage of biking 2 miles 3-4 days per week with a backpack on for not even 3 months, the shoulders are wearing through and piling, the fabric is thinning. After purchase support was not helpful whatsoever and insisted it is normal "wear and tear" and not covered under the warranty. It'd be understandable to consider it wear & tear if id had it for even a year and used it frequently under certain conditions. Unusual abrasion that developed rapidly is not what I expect paying $300 for an Arcteryx product. Fortunately a store manager was very helpful and escalated the issue, but ridiculous that the after purchase associate still needs to suggest its a "one time exception", instead of recognizing the fact that the durability is poor.

Zipper is cheap and fell off less than a month

As expected except the zipper is the cheapest zipper I’ve ever seen used. Less than a month after I purchased my Atom Hoody, wearing the jacket a total of ten times mainly for 15 minute dog walks, the zipper’s bottom catch fell off. It’s YKK but made of plastic, not metal. I’m now required to pay for shipping and give up having a rain coat in November for them to fix it. While it’s nice they’ll fix it, there was no apology, or effort to keep me as a loyal Arc’teryx customer. Pretty poor quality experience to be honest.
No, I do not recommend this product.

poor quality

I bought this hoody in June of this year and have only worn it a couple times in the last two months. However, you can see that the part of the seatbelt touches is worn out. I contacted customer service about this, but the response was that this is normal and does not affect usage. I am very disappointed with this.

I don’t have anything to add, these are great jackets. I just wish you would make these and/or the atom jacket in the Tatsu color. That’s a great color and I think it should be a standard color.

Love the fit and feel of the jacket. I'm 6'5" and 200lbs, and it fits amazing. Not too tight, it moves with me, and doesn't get all baggy or bunched up under other layers. Material is very comfortable, the jacket is pleasantly warm.

Super comfy but not durable

Hopefully this version is more durable that the Atom LT Hoody.
I had my LT since September '22 and wore it maybe 2 months per season. I stopped wearing in Spring this year since it has abnormal wear in the back. I rarely had a backpack while using but I wear other light jackets like this one with it and they all have no issues.
I tried to open a claim with Arc'teryx and I can't send the form (how convenient). The store manager where I bought it told me Arc'teryx would highly unlikely do anything about my issue. At $360 for a "hoody", you'd surely want it to last more than ~8 months in 2 years.

Have had the Atom jacket for several years, I even own two! Perfect as a daily jacket for winter where I live, great mid layer for ice/rock climbing. Has held up well and has few patches but I love it !

Lightly insulated weather resistant hoody type jacket. Good enuf for 0 degree days I would say. Maybe even less. Slightly fitted. Looks good enough to own two.

Problematic New Sizes

I have an Atom Hoody (XL) from 2018 that is still my favorite jacket of all time, and I wear it constantly during the colder months. It fits me perfectly with a t-shirt or a sweatshirt underneath. I wanted to get a second Atom Hoody in Vitality Blue, but unfortunately the new sizing does not work for me: The Large is too tight around the middle and the XL is too roomy with arms too long. Very disappointing!

The most flexible jacket ever!

I think thet I finally got the most flexible jacket on the market. I used it in different kind of occasions as in different kind of activity (trekking, casual, skialp,...) every time it was perfect, warm enough and water repellent as much as it was necessary.
I'm totally in love with it and I suggested to some friends who are very happy too!!

Storm hood, interior zip, versatile cuffs

Fantastic layering/ insulator, thin down but good at retaining heat, wish it was abit more waterproof as water can be absorbed, never seeps through though.

storm hood, interior pocket and versatile sleeves

Great insulator, thin down but excellent at layering and keeping wind out. Only wish it had better hydrophobic outer, seems to absorb water, although never comes through. Worn everywhere from Snowdon to the Alps.
