I picked this hoody because I love my Practitioner hoody for SAR and was looking for something similar but in more "casual" colors. Although I like the Practitioner's interior better. I still love this jacket and I have been wearing it pretty much everyday since I got it! Very comfortable, just warm enough, and breathable, and it is nice enough (at least in Solitude color) to wear at the office.

Truly an excellent Purchase. This Atom Hoody is simply the best mid-layer all round jacket one can buy. To start off, the quality is great, zipper never fails, it's water proof to an extent and keeps me warm in regular conditions. The hood is the perfect size (usually a miss with outdoor jackets), the interior is super comfortable and warm with no extra layer needed in the inside for extra comfort, and the overall fit is perfect if your wearing it underneath, over top, or as a single layer. For a 5'9 athletic build, this jacket fits me perfectly, with the perfect amount of space to move, not too tight or loose, which gives it a very stylish and athletic look on the outside. Temperatures: Now, here it gets iffy. The jacket is meant to be worn underneath an outer layer, or over-top of a hoodie, and for that it is literally perfect. Super comfortable and snug like you're getting a hug, warm, stylish and nonrestrictive, and can be worn in negative temperatures if used as a mid-layer. However, the jacket is also amazing when used on its own, as your only layer, that is under ideal temperatures. If your going on a walk, doing activities, or just talking to some buds at 10 degrees C and don't want to bundle up, this is perfect; keeps you warm, dry, doesn't make you sweat, and is very breathable and agile. However, if you are expecting this jacket to keep you warm in freezing temperatures, or in the snow, or in very windy circumstances where its 1 or 2 degrees, It simply will not. It will definitely help, and keep you somewhat warm, but not for long as it's not too thick. If used properly, it is a perfect jacket. Overall: The jacket Is perfect. I used it when I'm going on walks, scooter rides, going to eat, as an extra layer, going to school, work, while driving if its cold, at night when going out, and as a base/mid-layer when skiing, in the snow, or during the cold months of winter in freezing temperatures. Furthermore, this jacket paired with the arcteryx insulated or an arcteryx alpha or beta shell is the perfect combo to keep you agile, warm, and dry. With this very flexible and reasonable price tag, the jacket fully satisfies all my needs, and is a number one pick when going out on a regular cloudy day. Fully recommend it, and I have never been happier with this purchase.

Only had a chance to wear a few times so far, but this hoody is a perfect mix of temperature control, wind resistance, water resistance (more for misty/light drizzle) and overall weight.

The new sizing is terrible. All my friends and family that used to wear this brands jackets can no longer find a properly fitted size. Very unfortunate to see this happen to Arcteryx; I wish they would bring back the old sizes that everyone liked.

My first Atom Hoody. I love it. Perfect fit - tight but not too tight. If you prefer a wider fit, take a size larger than normal.

Great fit, less bulky, but also a bit shorter. The Atom is really more like a SL than a LT. Love it, because it is more stylish, better fit for me and better suited in different occasions. Expensive yes. Love the logo but the hemcords adjusters should be of higher quality

This is my 5th atom and almost perfect. While this jacket really is lighter the fabric feels very delicate and is really wrinkled. The insulation feels very thin but seems warm enough for early Dutch spring. Overall fit and finish is good. The hood isn’t very adjustable.

this is my second Atom Hoody, the other one i had for 6 about years, love it for all my Winter activities. Keeps me warm and and cozy.

This is my core jacket from 35 to 55 degrees, wearing the Covert fleece when it’s warmer, the Cerium when it’s colder or really windy, and the Thorium when it’s frigid. Looks great; nothing like it.

Fantastic all year jacket. Midlayer in the winter, and outer layer spring and fall.

Disappointed in the quality of the new Atom LT. I purchased an Atom LT jacket in 2017 and to this date it is the best jacket I own. I continue to wear it over the new one I bought. Even after owning it for 7 years, the quality of the material just feels better than the new version. The new version feels cheaper (almost plastic like) and as if it will soon rip while doing anything active. I wear my old one 10x more. It's unfortunate because for the high price they should have continued with the same material as the old version.

I have several of these in different colors. It’s one of my favorite styles.

The Atom Hoodie seems to be of good quality. However, the size increase for the Large from 42” to 43” chest makes the jacket a bit baggy and might put me off purchasing other products. I have great sympathy for people who have purchased generations of the Atom, only to find that they now slip between sizes. I suppose there’s a lot more focus now on the leisure market and a need for bigger sizes. My other negative was that the jacket was shipped from Germany to the UK and was delayed by a strike. It’s a long way to ship a jacket from an environmental perspective..

This is my 4th Atom and again a great piece of all round Kit. Warm comfortable for all year round use .I have 2 old size xxl and 2 XL to use under other kit as a mid layer. New advert 2024 says "Fitted Fit - This trimmer fit is patterned to stay close to the body through the chest, waist, hip, and thigh" This is NOT correct. I bought a XXL thinking it would be Trimmer than my existing one but its about 2" bigger in the chest and has longer arms?? I sent it back and bought an XL and its perfect - slightly bigger than the old XL.

I bought this jacket about a month ago specifically for running. Unfortunately, the arm tore when it lightly brushed against another runner. While I understand accidents can happen, I’m disappointed with Arcteryx’s response. Their offer of a piece of tape to cover the tear feels insufficient given the premium price of the product. The lack of customer support has led me to seek alternatives for my future active wear needs.

Excellent all-arounder! I was looking for a jacket to fill multiple purposes and this one fit the bill. I live in northern Nevada and mornings/evenings can get chilly so I wanted a jacket to ward off a lower temp that isn't overly bulky. I'd like to easily shed it when the temps warm without taking a lot of room in the stuff pack or just holding it. We don't get a ton of rainier but when we do, the hood design is nice. The pull strings draw the hood close to your head and will surely withstand windy days (which we get *often*!). Myother jackets have helmet compatible hoods so it's nice to have a normal-sized hood. My second purpose is to have a jacket that I can wear under my AlphaSV when I want something warmer in my layer strategy. I wear a base layer and a mid layer, and I'll tweak the mid layer based on expected temps. This jacket will be a very nice "heavier" mid layer to wear on cold days. This is also my first purchased in the revised sizing. I wear a small in AT shells (traditional sizing) but in the new sizing I wasn't sure where I would land. I bought a Small and Medium expecting to return one. The revised small sizing was too snug in the chest but the Medium fit really nice. Glad I bought both! Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I plan to wear it tonight at the local beer stop... :-)

The jacket is good looking but after using it for around 2 weeks on an actual mountain, the backpack straps ate into the shoulders and almost wore through the face fabric, Good for wearing around town but I would not buy into the whole marketing that this brand is useful for actual expedition use. Extremely poor customer service, for anyone buying from here, do not expect the brand to stand by their product, you will just be bounced around from one phone call to the next which is exhausting.

Un look parfait, un fit ajusté, des couleurs incroyables et une respirabilité accrue. Tout est parfait dans cette veste. Peut-être porté autant l'été par temps frais que l'hiver par temps froid en faisant une activité phyisque. Elle protège même un peu des intempéries. C'est une veste à avoir assurément dans sa garde-robe. J'en ai maintenant plusieurs couleurs.

La livraison s’est faite en 3 jours hyper rapide , mais la veste est beaucoup plus légère que je le pensais pour 280€ je m’attendais à mieux . Mais je suis quand même super ravis.

Great jacket which works really well with my Beta AR when it is really chucking it down. Was out today with both in 6C with heavy rain and warmth and dry delivery was super.
