Different colour different sizing

Very versatile jackett. I have bought this in two colours: black and dynasty. The black one is looser than the dynasty one. It's odd consdering the brand and the price lewel. Same size different true size. The difference is not very big but big enouht so it's too noticeable. Manufacturing fails. Notice that both of the colours are the revised fit. Only three monts between orders. I have to say that this hoody is very good and highly recomentation.

Nice but not an alternative to the old Gamma SV

I recently purchased the Gamma MX Hoody to replace my beloved but retired Gamma SV from 2006. I loved that jacket so much, and I guess my expectations were a bit high… Despite the name, the MX is a totally different shell: the construction feels cheaper (but probably as strong, time will tell), the size fits regular in the body but tight under the armpits (didn’t try to layer yet, but I have a feeling it won’t be comfortable), no chin guard anymore (the hood is heavy and pulls the zipper against my chin if I don’t put the hood on), definitely not fully windproof (I could feel a light breeze if wearing only a tshirt underneath). Don’t take it wrong, it’s great jacket but I was hoping for a similar alternative to my SV, so I went a bit disappointed, hence the 3 stars. The MX is still great grab-and-go jacket for shoulder seasons when you need a tiny bit of warmth on a light rainy day, just don’t expect too much out of it, especially for this price point.

The current Gamma MX features a PFAS-free FC0 DWR and a roomier regular fit to allow for easier layering, but we know changes like the fabric feel and fit can impact your experience. Pocket Ziper can be better

There’s a major fla about the main pockets.
Some zippers are designed so that you must pull the zipper slider to move them. But the main pocket zippers on the Gamma MX don’t have this feature, so they gradually open more during use. This is a problem because these two main pockets have vertical zippers that go all the way down, making it very easy for things to fall out. Every time you put something in, you have to zip it all the way to the top, or else you’ll worry about the zipper loosening and things falling out. Also, if you keep your hands in the pocket, the zipper will slide open in time too.
On another note, the base color of the Forage / Verve is quite nice, but the logo is too bright and eye-catching

Almost Perfect - Needs Better Fit in Armpits

Overall, this is a fantastic hoody - great for cold-weather activities and daily commuting. The materials, construction, and overall fit are excellent. However, there’s one significant issue: the fit around the armpits is uncomfortably tight. It pushes up and creates noticeable pressure and irritation, which becomes distracting over time.
Feedback for the design team: This seems to be a recurring concern with the Gamma MX, as others have pointed it out as well. Slightly loosening the cut around the shoulders / armpits would make a big difference in comfort without compromising the performance or fit of the hoody. It shouldn’t feel like it’s constantly rubbing or pressing against that area.
