Question 1

Does the back mesh section of the cap protect your head from the sun?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Marcus, thanks for reaching out. The Bird Word Trucker Hat is designed to provide lightweight comfort and breathability for hiking and climbing in the hot sun. The mesh panels at the back of the hat do provide some coverage, but because they are mesh, they will not offer the same level of sun protection as a solid fabric. The primary purpose of the mesh is to increase airflow and help keep you cool. That said, the hat does not have an official UPF rating. We hope this helps!

Question 2

I also have an all black hat which has an all black logo that nobody can see!! How can I make it more visible?? Do you have an individual patch in a lighter colour suitable for this cap??

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Mike, thanks for reaching out. At this time, we do not offer individual logo patches. We also do not recommend making alterations to your gear, as modifications can void the Arc'teryx Limited Warranty. We understand your feedback regarding the visibility of the all-black logo, and we will be happy to pass this along to our team for future consideration. We hope this helps!

Question 3

is the forhead part is upf 50 blocks uv/ua?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. The Bird Word Trucker Hat is not officially UPF-rated. While the lightweight, breathable fabric on the front will provide some level of sun protection, we are unable to quantify or guarantee the exact amount. We hope this helps!

Question 4

Hat es einen Sonnenschutz an der durchsichtigen Mesh Stelle?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Question 5

Does the mesh offer UVA/UVB protection? Fridge Bear

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there, while the Bird Word Trucker Hat is designed for lightweight comfort and breathability, especially in warm conditions, the mesh panels are not UPF rated, so we cannot confirm whether they provide UVA or UVB protection.

Question 6

Hi, how is the wording of the logo attached? is it glued on or sewn in? just worried if it might peel off in the heat or with wear. Does this come with a warranty in case it peels off? Thanks

River · Accepted Answer

Hello there, the logo on the Bird Word Trucker Hat is printed, not embroidered. If you experience any issues with the hat, including concerns related to the logo, we recommend submitting a Product Service Request. Our After-Sales team will be happy to review the case and explore possible solutions for you.

Question 7

What is the soft indent by the forehead in the bill of the hat for?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi there, great question! The indent on the brim of the Bird Word Trucker Hat is a design element that helps maintain the shape of the brim while making the hat fit more comfortably. We hope this helps!

Question 8

Has the shape changed from the older edition of the Bird Word Trucker, or just the logo design?

Seymour, Arc'teryx Guest Services · Accepted Answer

Hi Peter, thanks for reaching out. The shape of the Bird Word Trucker Hat will be slightly different from the Bird Word Trucker Curved Hat since they come in different sizes. The Bird Word Trucker Hat is available in S-M and L-XL, while the Bird Word Trucker Curved Hat comes in just one size. The closest comparison to the previous fit would be a size S-M, which has a bottom circumference of 57 cm compared to the Bird Word Trucker Curved Hat, which has a bottom circumference of 58 cm. We hope this helps!
