Great all around jacket

Great all around jacket. The "fleece" lining is instantly warm as compared to a nylon lined jacket (Proton). The shell and lining work great to regulate temp. I sized up to XL. My Atom LT is great in L, and my Proton in size L was too tight. 6' 200 lbs.

This jacket is warmer than I thought it might be (compared to Proton Lightweight).. I used it on Alpine ski tours this season - in around 0oC it was about ideal, but any warmer (over 5oC) and I had to either swap it out for a Squamish, or just use a thin Cormac T underneath.
Pocket placement is perfect for use with a harness or a pack waistbelt... material is 50 denier so noticeably more wind resistant and robust. I changed the zip pullers for contrasting colours as they are hard to see with goggles on and made them thicker as they were also hard to grab with gloves. The reflective piping is a good idea, but in practice they are too hard to display - you need to curl the hem up and open the pockets; can't understand the thinking of this- why not just sew on the outside? it is a work jacket after all.
I am 6'1" and average build- Medium fits perfectly. ideally worn with a T, as the insulation does not slide that well with a long-sleeved... This would be the case with any insulation though.
Hood fits easily over a climbing helmet like the meteor, but even zips up when over a ski helmet like the Salomon mtn.. a YouTube review says it doesn't; but it definitely does.
So, pullers aside, and the strange placement of the reflective strips, this is an excellent choice for cold ski touring, cold weather mountaineering or slow placed hiking.

First off, the material of the jacket is very nice. The face fabric is a bit more abrasion resistant than my trusty atom LT. It also sheds wind better.
The insulation is very light, making this a good active piece. This jacket is not very warm. If you intend to just stand around in it, you should consider another piece with more insulation or plan layers accordingly.
The fit is as expected. Im 5’8 average building and chose medium. This results in a boxy fit but im fine with it as it lets me layer under it.

Wow! It breathes extremely well! It dries amazingly fast! It is just windproof enough to keep me cool and dry when skinning up on days around -10 or colder. You just have to pick the right baselayer. Hot enough to ski down. It’s a if it is adapting to your right body temperature. I am really amazed by the practitioner! Must have!

Feels like a staple piece

Have been wearing this almost non stop since receiving it. I am 6’ 187lb fit and I purchased a large. Fits me as I would want. Just enough insulation to feel like I actually have some weight to it but also would be perfect for an early morning summer jacket.
