Beta SL 夹克 男装

I've owned several Beta SL's over the years along with a ton of other Arc outerwear and had to purchase everything again after we lost all our gear in a recent break-in. It seems this new Beta SL has received some "updates" to the design that I don't prefer including an even larger hood - I don't typically use this jacket with a helmet, so an even bigger hood isn't a welcome change for me as I felt like even the previous hood was plenty oversized. Also there seems to be more room in the body than before (another unwelcome change). The jacket feels more boxy with extra fabric where it wasn't needed, like Arc's trying to fit more body types than a size Medium should accommodate, which just means a jacket that fits worse. I've recently purchased a Gamma MX, Beta SL, Rho top and bottom, Kyanite Hoody and Gamma Lightweight and a Cerium down jacket and I can say that the fit has negatively changed on both Gammas, the Beta and the Kyanite and the Cerium which also got a downgrade to lower quality fabric along with it's worse fit. I don't know if Arc's just lost it's way, or if being purchased by a huge overseas conglomerate grabbing at all the dollars it can get has finally ended the reign of Arc'teryx as a core outdoor brand, but something's up and it's not good

Die Jacke macht auf den ersten Blick einen sehr guten Eindruck, angenehmes Tragegefühl und gute Funktionalität. Leider ist die Qualität als nur Mangelhaft anzusehen. Verwendet man den Hacken zur Aufhängung und die Taschen lösen sich schon nach 1.5 Jahren sichtbar die Naht am Nacken und in der Tasche. Der Service zur Reparatur ist sehr schwierig, umständlich und nicht vertrauenswürdig. Man muss die Jacke auf eigene Kosten in die Schweiz schicken, da Arcteryx nur seinen eigenen Reparaturservicepartner akzeptiert. Die Internetseite die impliziert, dass in Vertriebsgeschäften die Jacke zur Reparatur abgegeben werden können sind fehlleitend. Nur zwei Läden im DACH Raum können das. Alle anderen schicken es dann auch nur per Post in die Schweiz. Auch wenn der Service schnell antwortet, sind sie leider unfähig Kundenwünsche -wie eine Adresseänderung- nach einer Zusage auch umzusetzen. In Summe, wer alle 1.5 Jahre seine Jacke tauschen möchte soll zugreifen, alle die, die bei diesem Preis hochwertige und langjährige haftende Qualität erwarten, vielleicht eher Abstand nehmen.

Excellent highly breathable, waterproof lightweight shell, my Beta SL is my go to shell when my Alpha SV is overkill

The Beta SL has quickly taken over as my go-to rain jacket. The extra fit customizations and under-arm vents really kicks it up a notch. I also love the light-weightness of the jacket which makes packing it easy. It's a no brainer to just throw one of these into your pack whenever you're facing (or might face) inclement/temperate weather.

Certe cette veste n'est pas donnée, mais lorsqu'on la porte sous la pluie on comprends ce qu'on a payé. Elle est très bien ajustée, et est le parfait complément de mon Atom lorsque le vente et/ou la pluie surviennent. Je l'ai testé sous un épisode de pluie méditerranéen particulièrement violent, mélé à de grosses bourasques de vents, le haut de mon corps était confortablement au sec et au chaud. Les manches sont un peu longues, mais au final c'est également un avantage car elles protègent la veste portée en dessous. A voir dans la durée, mais pour le moment c'est juste parfait !
