Minimalist good features

Beta jacket, M. 1,82m, 82kg, very good fit, light and no bulk to carry in the pack for hiking, walking, day ski-mountaineering. It would be nice if it brought a compression or carrying bag.

Great for warm days on the slopes; great color

I took this skiing on Mt. Bachelor. Great for warm spring skiing weather . Light, breathable, and easy to pack . The color is true to the photos; even richer. I’m considering the alpha jacket in the same color for those colder or snowy days on the slope.

No pit zips

I don't know how a $420 (now a shocking $500, thanks to the tariffs. Let's see if the price goes back down, now that the tariffs have been "paused") "technical" jacket doesn't include pit zips, but the Beta doesn't. I was pretty disappointed and decided to return the jacket. This feels like a money grab, rather than a quality product worth the asking price. No thanks.
Regarding fit: I'm a 6', 215 lbs male (the bulk isn't muscle), and the Large fit me well, if not slightly baggy in the arms. Room to move, very comfortable.
The jacket's still going back.

The Beta Jacket is the more basic within the Beta family in terms of features and configuration, making it a versatile piece for mountain and everyday use. For an alternative with pit zips, we recommend looking at the Beta SL Jacket.

Good overall!

Overall very great jacket, i've been using this almost daily for a couple of months now but there are a few things which are a little annoying. Firstly, the factory DWR SUCKS! Barely lasts but unfortunately i think this is a new reality because of the C0 dwr switch. Secondly, the zipper keeps snagging near the top if the hood is not on my head. Other than that, the fit is great, I have long arms so its an almost perfect with a large (I'm 6'1).

I love this jacket

The Beta jacket is great. I love the cut which is not too slim and not baggy, but very modern and flattering. It fits a bit larger than other garments. I am 6'4" and I am a Medium in this Beta. For reference I wear a Large Covert Cardigan which fits underneath the Beta comfortably. I tried on a Large and it was quite roomy and not made for someone my size. The wrist straps are very useful. Love the colour (Interstellar) and I get lots of compliments. The fabric feels high quality and after a few months, I feel like this is going to last me many years.
