Terrible Redesign, look elsewhere

I’ve used the older version of this jacket for the past four years and absolutely loved it. Since mine was getting worn out, I ordered the new revised Atom Jacket and I’m extremely disappointed with the quality. I immediately noticed that it feels and looks cheaper than the previous model. The material is noticeably thinner and flimsier, and the overall fit is larger and less tailored. Unfortunately, I’ll be returning it and waiting to see if a future version improves. I’m not very optimistic, though, especially since Arc’teryx has publicly stated they’re shifting from being purely a technical outdoor brand to focusing more on fashion and lifestyle.

Still a great jacket

I have an Atom LT hoody, Atom SV hoody, Atom LT vest (for layering and backcountry skiing) and recently purchased an Atom LT jacket (no hood). The Atom was the first piece of Arcteryx gear I purchased many years ago after my friend showed me how light his Atom was compared with the old fleece jacket I was using at the time. This new jacket without the hood is also excellent for layering when skiing and for hiking. I use an Atom LT, an SV and a gore tex shell like the Sabre to cover the whole ski and hiking season. 6'1", 215lbs XL works great.

Professional, transparent, and swift support

A wrong item was sent, and I’m not close to a UPS facility, but Arc’teryx Customer Service—especially Gabriel—handled everything with professionalism and empathy. They clearly explained that a refund or replacement requires the original item to be returned to the warehouse and set accurate expectations (refund typically reflected within 5–7 business days). I also returned a pair of shoes that didn’t fit and appreciate the team’s help finalizing that refund. Communication was timely, detailed, and sincere throughout. Product quality is excellent, and the service matches it—five stars without hesitation. I’ll continue to support Arc’teryx and recommend the brand to friends.

Decent jacket but GIANT LOGO everywhere

Fit is good, warmth is decent (not great), but the GIANT LOGO on everything now is hideous. Who is designing this rubbish?

Super Allrounder

Das Atom Jacket ist noch besser als die Vorgängervariante. Bessere Paasform, schlanker und etwas länger geschnitten plus solidere Details wie Reisverschluss und Kragen. Super geeignet als Alltagsjacke und Midlayer für sportliche Aktivitäten. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und hoffe, dass sie ähnlich haltbar ist wie das Vorgängermodell.

Quality has gone down

I bought my first Atom jacket a few years ago and loved it. I crushed on that jacket so hard. It almost felt like magic; the durability, the way it kept me warm, the way It looked. Bought a new on last year, cus I for a little burn hole in the other one, and it didn’t even make it a year before it was showing serious signed of wear and the inside stuffing was coming out of all the seems. Ordered a new one for this fall and just received it. After feeling it and trying it on I can’t get over how the material just feels so much cheaper than the soft and supple one my first jacket was made with. I hope this isn’t the start of a major decline from a brand I loved. If I’m pleasantly surprised by the new jacket I will modify my review.
