Rush Jacke Herren

Great shell for snowboarding! Have worn it while riding on both Cypress & Grouse this season. The fit is nice & roomy, all the pockets feel intentional & useful. However, I don't love the Stormhood that most of Arc'teryx shells use. Especially when layering up on a colder day, the neck can get pretty tight and I have to unzip the Rush a bit to allow more freedom of movement. I'm also a beginner and falling a lot, the Rush feels really durable and don't have to worry about ripping or damaging the shell.

Lots of Fit Issues! But great jacket otherwise. I have owned 2 Arcteryx Rush Jackets: one Medium and one Large. Both are very bad for sizing! Not regular Arcteryx sizing. I am 6-3, 198lb, 33w, athletic build. My sizing issues are the following: Large - it's a flowing smock, a dress. Way too big! I feel like it's a Gore-tex blanket! If I use , the lower cinch, I have room for a baby around my stomach. So weird. Medium - great in shoulders and upper body. It's more like a trim athletic fit of Arcteryx jackets of yesteryear. However, the waist is quite tight - and will ride up and down if you bend down. ***Please note: My powder skirt partially delaminated over time (7 Years). Arcteryx refused to repair it and offered only a $200 credit. The warranty is very poor for a $500-700 jacket! Previously, Arcteryx repaired Beta AR lower delaminated cinch.

I love the simplicity. It's nice to have a burly but lightweight jacket without a powderskirt (since most backcountry users wear bibs anyway), which also allows this jacket to be used for other use cases (i.e. as a shell to go over a warm puffy for cold/windy belays)

The Rush used to be the best jacket in the world. But they removed the powder skirt on this new one and jacked up the sizing. If the Pro model jackets (which they won't let normals buy) deserve a powder skirt, so do your consumer products. It's really disappointing to see a brand disregard the people who fund their company this way. Gross really.

The perfect backcountry/minimalist resort shell. I owned an older Sabre LT jacket and this blows that piece out of the water. Super packable, plenty of room for layering underneath. I’m typically on the cusp of medium and large and medium is plenty big.

I purchased this at a discount directly from ArcTeryx. This is a good shell with a lot of good features. On the positive side, it's light but really does a good job cutting wind with proper layering can be worn in -10 to -15C weather comfortably. If it's durable, it will be a really good jacket for me (my last goretex shell lasted 25 plus years). It also has some deficiencies. I think the cut of the jacket is too tight around the bottom. I'm 5'10", 185 lbs and wear the medium. When I bend down, the jacket really restricts movement, unless I cinch the waist adjustment so that it rides higher - but that also bunches up the zipper, making starting the zipper a pain. It should be a shorter cut or have side zippers, or flare a little bit, or be cut shorter in front with a longer back. As others have stated - not having a powder skirt is a miss as is not having better cuffs on the sleeves. Overall, at the price I paid (discounted colour - solaris/sequoia - which is the colour I wanted) I think it was a good purchase and I would recommend. IF some improvements were made, I would be happy even at the full price. As a general note to ArcTeryx - they need to make a hard shell (maybe 100D) that has a powder skirt, the pocket configuration of the Rush (except move the RFID pass pocket to the forearm from the bicep) and better cuffs. It would be great ski shell with these changes. There is no jacket in their lineup that has all these features.
