Zipper Arrived Broken... Needs 5 Weeks for Repair

I purchased this on ReGear and the zipper had 3 teeth missing... The condition it was sold as was "A Grade - Like New - Pristine condition with no signs of wear." And before Arcteryx says that ReGear is a totally separate entity and they're not responsible for what ReGear sells, one might think they could've done more to remedy my issue. ReGear offered to accept it as a return or provide 15% off refund for me to keep it. The alternative would be to have Arcteryx directly fix the jacket, which I'm told could take anywhere from 3-5 weeks. Here's my thought - the jacket is barely 3 months only from when it first released. The condition of the jacket is indeed "Like-New" with the exception of a non-functioning zipper... If you truly "warranty" your products and wanted to offer exceptional customer service, you might consider just sending me a new jacket while I return this one to you. By the time the zipper's repaired, the jacket has had less utility as the seasons change... It's also a little frustrating that the ReBird center can't replace the zipper because it's an insulated goretex jacket... Has to go back to Colorado for some reason... All that said, the jacket itself wears large, so definitely size down. I'm 5'8 and 138lbs and an XS fits like a Small. The material is more "crunchy" than my existing Therme, but is noticeable lighter, while being longer and containing a larger quantity of down feathers. The elastic cuffs I feel are a tad on the shorter side, but that could just be my preference. The overall sleeve length is fine. The jacket on it's own is a 4/5 stars; with the 1 star missing because it's on the pricier side, and the quality is clearly lacking... 2/5 because of the experience and headache in getting this repaired. Hopefully for a new season they install a new/different zipper with better durability...

Ok. Expensive for what it is.

I wear this coat for an everyday coat in NYC. It works. Pockets are ok but not as easy to access as I'd like. Zippers are not as easy to use as I'd like but mine have not failed as I have read in other reviews.

Nice Jacket

Pros: Very nice jacket, Special, unique pattern, excellent materials, extremely light. Cons: Very expensive, I expected higher quality in the zippers and unfortunately anything that goes into the pockets (wallet or mobile phone, etc.) wrinkles the outside of the jacket and severely ruins its aesthetics. I have to keep the pockets empty. Also a serious oversight is the absence of zippers on the inside pockets. A parka jacket whose inside and outside pockets are practically useless.

Poor Zipper Quality

It is a light and warm jacket up to around minus 20 C. Unfortunately the main zipper is extremely annoying. It keeps getting stuck.

Room for improvement.

I love my recently purchased Ralle down parka in size small for urbain wear. My only beef is the fact that I have to struggle to work the two-way zipper once worn. Perhaps a more robust version of said zipper will do the trick? But then again, how do you keep the minimal, streamline esthetic with a heavier zipper? 🤔. A good challenge for a re-design perhaps.
