Another great jacket!

I love everything about this jacket, especially the colour which is what drew me to it! It's light and small enough to pack into my hiking daypack, but still feels durable and keeps me dry in heavy rain. Its very comfortable, meaning its now my go to jacket to wear whether I'm hiking or just commuting to work. The cinch waist allows me to add more shape to the jacket and keep any cold air out. One thing to note, I have a previous season Beta Jacket, and the fit feels different. This model feels a little longer and a thicker outer fabric, which personally I prefer!

Versatile Year-round shell jacket

Have been using my new ePE version of the Beta Jacket for a while now, and it has proven to be superb in the rain, especially living in the PNWt. The wind resistance is excellent, making it a reliable year-round daily shell. I appreciate the relaxed fit; although I'm slim, I wear a medium to allow for layering during the colder seasons. It pairs perfectly with an Atom or Proton. Highly recommend this jacket for anyone needing a versatile and dependable outer layer!

Runs small, but the best jacket

I have been lucky enough to have multiple styles of Arc'teryx rain jackets (among other products). These rain jackets are the best out there in terms of water repellency. The Beta is breathable and good for varying weather conditions. It is light weight and highly packable. Size wise I will say that their jackets run quite small. I am typically a size 8 or 10 across the board, athletic build, 34DD, and 5'4". I purchased an XL in this jacket to make sure I could fit layers underneath. A photo is attached. I have the Beta AR in a size medium and it is snug across my hips - I can only fit a thin layer underneath. Very excited to have the larger size in the Beta to have options of what to wear underneath. It is a great jacket, but I would like to see them develop more inclusive sizing.

Gore-Tex défectueux.

Le manteau est défectueux. Je l'ai acheté en décembre 2024 et porté qu'une fois au printemps et le tissu absorbe l'eau. J'ai contacté la compagnie et je leur ai envoyé le manteau. Ils m'ont dit qu'ils avaient fait un traitement déperlant, mais le manteau m'a été retournée toujours défectueux, alors que je m'étais bien informée auprès d'eux que le problème était bien résolu avant qu'il ne me le renvoient.

La veste Beta est conçue d'une membrane GORE-TEX ePE sans PFAS et un traitement FC0-DWR, qui, bien qu’efficace pour repousser l’eau, peut nécessiter un entretien supplémentaire, notamment en cas de contamination par des salissures ou des résidus huileux, ce qui peut provoquer un imbibement du tissu extérieur (ou « wet-out »). Ce phénomène ne compromet cependant pas l’imperméabilité de la membrane. Pour réactiver le traitement déperlant, il suffit de laver et sécher la veste ou de réappliquer un traitement antidéperlant. Nous vous encourageons à nous recontacter si vous avez encore des préoccupations fasse à cette situation.

PNW rain essential

My go-to lightweight hiking and MTB shell jacket. Great fit with longer coverage that covers your butt, the cinches for the waist and hood are awesome to keep everything from moving around too much. It packs down small into a Norvan running vest or MTB hip pack. I am generally get a women's medium in outerwear from Arc'teryx, but ended up going with a large this time and I love the long fit and relaxed look with space to layer with a puffy. Sizing up, this jacket covers halfway down my thigh and is easy to move in. I've used this for pouring rain hikes and it works as expected for a hard shell from Arc'teryx: protective of outside wet, breathable enough for high output.

Beta Jacket Women's

The Beta’s versatility frees you to experience the full range of adventures. Made with a durable 80D face fabric and a GORE‑TEX ePE (expanded polyethylene) membrane that’s light, strong, and PFC-free, it delivers waterproof, windproof, breathable protection with a reduced carbon footprint. The C-KNIT backer adds comfort, and the low-profile StormHood adjusts to provide coverage and maintain lines of sight. Articulation removes restriction, and a RECCO reflector can aid in search emergencies.

What's been updated: Updated with a RECCO reflector and a new durable, lightweight GORE-TEX ePE fabric that offers a reduced carbon footprint and has an 80D face fabric for enhanced durability without added weight.

This product is free of intentionally added PFAS.

The new ePE membrane technology is lighter and thinner, but just as strong and durable as the materials we used before.   You may notice the face fabric “wetting out” slightly faster in products with ePE membranes, but rest assured this does not affect the waterproofing of the membrane itself. If you notice the fabric wetting out faster than you’d like, simply wash the jacket and dry it to remove the oil contamination and bring the DWR back to its full power.
