Cormac Crew Neck Shirt LS Men's

I got this in store specifically to play basketball in and found that it is great and wicks the moisture of my body great and keeps me dry so I can continue to compete. I found that for me the arms were very fitted but the shirt itself was very straight and boxy. Although I do prefer to play in the long sleeve over the t shirt because the fit for the t shirt is very over sized. I have also using the shirt for hiking in the sun and found that it workes great and having the spf protection is a great added bonus and keeps away the mosquitoes :).

As noted by several others, this shirt feels as if it was designed backwards. The front of the neck fits high and tight, and the back fits low and loose. I've been a fan of Cormac long sleeves for years, but this apparently new design feels absolutely awful and ill-fitting. Did nobody flag that aspect in the course of teeing it up as commercially ready????

My first question upon receiving the Cormac LS was regarding fit; many reviews have pointed out some problems with the pattern around the neck. The shirt I received fits very well. Ordered direct from Arc’teryx in June 2023 (fresh stock?), at time of purchase the item is tagged as ‘revised’ in the official retail app. The fit around the neck is good - collar sits flat across the back of the neck, well fitted around my hardly existent traps, and trim but unrestricted around the front of the neck. Medium feels true to size based on a 39-40” chest. Sleeve length covers my wrists but is not overly long (am 175cm / 5’9” tall). I did roll one sleeve once to keep my watch visible, but this isn’t a “running watch layer”, it’s a UV layer. If you have higher torso measurements for your height that is dictating your size choice, the sleeves will be proportionally longer and that may explain comments about sleeves that are too long. In regards to its performance as a UV blocking, trail running long sleeve, it is excellent. I went with the Atmos Heather (white) colour for lower heat absorption in sunlight. First run out was a 2.5 hours 21km trail run, 22-28°C in direct sun, moderate up to high uv index. I am heavy, salty sweater in those conditions. I felt that it had very good breathability, temperature and sweat management, wicks well and is cool on the skin. The long sleeves extend this wicking and sun shielding to your arms, and it kept me cooler and comfier on a hot day than my dark grey Motus short sleeve would have, for example. It was nice to apply sunscreen only on ears, neck, face, and hands, and feel unburned without that toasted feeling after the run. In regards to the fabric feel: the fabric seems well structured and is very comfortable. It has a low-friction, soft feel, and the interior weave texture does’t make a lot of contact with the skin (good for taking the moisture away from the skin and a dry feel even while sweaty). I experienced no chafing after 2.5 hours with a 2L hydration vest; the fabric showed no sign of abrasion from friction with the vest. I prefer the low-stretch fabric as it can drape a bit and sit off the skin here and there for a breezy feel, rather than sticking to you or stretching out excessively as it takes on moisture weight like cheaper “tech” fabrics. To me, this fit makes sense given the design intention as a UV blocking layer, not necessarily a base layer that needs to body conform to fit under other layers. Overall I think it’s a well designed layer that functions as advertised: a sun-blocking trail running long sleeve. I’m really impressed with the fabric design and can’t believe how cool it feels while not having a loose, open weave that would let UV rays through. Will see how it holds up over time, but I'm a big fan and it is exactly what I needed coming into hot summer running.

I bought this product for protection from sun on hot cloudless days. I ave noticed a draft at the back of my neck where it is exposed. I agree with another reviewer who wrote that it feel like the shirt is on backwards. Other that that it is a great shirt.

Really love the long sleeve shirt for long runs. Literally so lightweight it feels like nothing but still protects me from the wind, and light rain and insulates me just enough in the colder spring temps. I run hot when exercising so this is perfect for my body type. I have the Atomos Heather colour and it also is great for visibility in low light for safety. Only con was the looseness in the sleeves around the wrist. Not really sure why this is in the design but I would prefer the sleeves not to have as much movement when I am running.

I have many of similar ”performance” labeled long sleeve t-shirts from other brands as they are my everyday kind of shirt. I would say this iteration of that kind of shirt is just fine to mediocre. This shirt is very high in breathability and seems to just wick heat away from your body which may be very important to some but the fit and comfort is just fine and doesn’t move with you as well as other shirts I own and tends to show off your belly when lifting your arms. Fits a little small perhaps. Would recommend depending on the use case of the person.

Comfortable and effective light layer that I wear under a short sleeved technical running shirt. I do agree with other reviewers that the neck hangs slightly too low in the back.

Take these backpacking every month. They keep me warm dry and protects me from sunburn.

This is my favorite shirt, the fit is great, and I love that the sleaves have great elasticity, really lovely fit, and like the material - super strong and breathable.

Incredible fabric in hot conditions, great colors, and top notch construction details. However, the pattern makers must have been asleep at the switch on this design. As Steve noted, the collar stands proud of the back of my neck as if the shirt was put on backwards. This is a major design flaw for a premium garment to be used in hot and sunny conditions (read: sunburned neck), and sadly means I'll probably end up donating this piece. The short sleeve version I have has the same issue, although it's less noticeable, probably due to the way the sleeves drape. Arcteryx: make these fit like your A2B tees but with this fabric and you'll have a winner. I'm 5'11" 145lb with lanky arms and the small fits fine in terms of length and chest, if not a touch baggy.

I just received this shirt. I normally wear a a Medium in everything but the sizing info suggested a Small. The Small fits fine in the body but the sleeves come down to the end of my thumbs. I have never had a shirt with sleeves that long. Everything else about the shirt is great but I bought it to wear in the Summer, so nowhere to hide all that sleeve.

The cormac is a great long sleeve for running on a cooler day or layering with another mid-layer.

I’ve been waiting for this. A LS version of the incredible short sleeve cormac without any giant logo or text. I wear a technical LS every day, all year. Patagonia, lululemon, and plenty of others are up there high on my list. But this shirt is the new king. Just like the short sleeve version, it’s just perfect for every day use and high output activities. Pair it with a proton vest and it’s unstoppable across a huge temp range. The neck issue referenced in another review must be a one off issue as I’ve not had that issue. Phenomenal piece per usual with arc. I’ll be buying as many colors as they offer. I’m 6’2, 165lbs and bought a medium. Perfect fit.

Not sure the neck patterning is correct on this item as the back of the collar on me is very baggy, so much so that it hangs back away from my neck which spoils the overall look and comfort. I'm also not liking the strong smell that this shirt gives off due to being washed in a biocide, I'm sure this will dissipate over time, but that collar I just can't live with.
