Amazing jacket if the new cut fits you.

I've been using a cerium LT jacket since 2012 and absolitely loved it. My go-to jacket for nearly all conditions. This year I decided it was finally showing it's age and time to replace it and bought the new revised fit jacket. The quality to top notch as before and the matt dark blue finish looks super. However, the new fit is smaller for the Large size and bigger for the XL size. I'm in between and whereas I could get away with either size with previous versions, neither fits well now. The large is too tight for any layering, and the XL too baggy across the shoulders at the back and rather too large in the body. If only Arcteryx had made the XL a bit trimmer in the same way as the Large rather than growing it! Super disappointing, and only hoping future fit will be revised but until then will have to hang on to my beloved old jacket.

Fantastic jacket. Ultralight. Packs in its own pocket. Great standalone for anywhere from -10C with light activity or -5C for stayting static. Or for colder temps layered or under a shell. This is a down jacket, so I would not recommend for prolonged high-output activity.
Mild annoyance is the fit is a little tight on Men's Small - hard to layer (at least for me). My only real drawback is the facing fabric is very flimsy. I have put holes in mine twice on brambles and raspeberries - It could use a tougher fabric, especially by Arcteryx standards. Problem is fixable with patches, but I'd much rather the original jacket be more robust.

Smart design, superior warmth to weight ratio

I recently purchased the Cerium Hoody in the Yukon/Relic color, size small. I’m 5’7” and weigh 140. The jacket has a trimmer fit that will easily accommodate a fleece mid layer while functioning as ideal insulation under a shell jacket for those frigid lift rides. The outer fabric seems more durable than past iterations (I own the Cerium SV Hoody and Cerium SL Hoody, both of which are no longer made). The only hang up I have is the color of the jacket material was not exactly as the online shop photos represent. The brown (Relic?) is just not quite as crisp dark brown as the model pictures would have you think. It seems slightly muted, if that makes sense. Otherwise, the jacket is the same top of the line Arcteryx style and construction you would expect for the price. I’m an Arcteryx super fan.

Incredibly lightweight & unbelievably warm

I purchased this to go under my Alpha SV shell and couldn’t be happier. It’s incredibly lightweight and unbelievably warm. Great fit as well. There isn’t wind sneaking in the waist or arms stealing your warmth. If you plan on wearing bigger bulkier sweaters under it, I would consider getting a larger size then you would, because it is a more of a form fitting jacket. Also, unlike other similar style jackets, I don’t have any problems with any of the zippers getting caught in the jacket material, which was a concern when I purchased it. I’m happy to say that has not been a problem at all.

Fantastic Revision

I’ve been a long-time Arc’teryx purchaser and I’ve always wanted to add a Cerium hoody to the collection. Problem was the fit was never quite right. Now with the recently revised fit the jacket fits me much, much better. Contrary to what’s is stated on the website about the large/XL being a bit more relaxed, I felt the large was a bit more snug (body weight hasn’t changed) as is the XL. As such, the XL now fits much closer to the body but it certainly isn’t restricting or boxy/loose. Fits me perfectly for wearing with a simple merino tee or a more substantial base/mid-layer. Additionally, I like the more substantial front zipper and the change to a 15D face fabric. Admittedly I haven’t had enough wear time to comment on durability but I believe the changes will lend nicely to the longevity of the garment. This is a great jacket and I’ll wear it as a stand-alone or as a layer under a Zeta LT or a Beta.

Light-weight, warm and packable jacket

Bought this jacket for my Everest base camp trek. It was exactly what I needed - very warm, comfortable, and easy to move in. It also comes with a stuff sack and can be packed small, which was perfect for a 12-day hike with limited space.

Its a great winter jacket. I tried a few sizes in store. Small was a bit smaller so I went for medium. Medium was a little bigger when it arrived as I purchased online. Nonetheless its a great winter jacket (add shell during snow), great material and quality build.

Almost 10 years ago i purchased the Cerium LT Hoody. Quality is outstanding looks like on the first day. Great Piece for everyday live, traveling, etc. On wet and cold days i wear it under my Beta Ar Jacket.

Perfect combination of style, fit, and function. I receive compliments every time I wear it. I am 6'1" 170lbs and a medium is a perfect fit. The Cerium performed well on a climb to the summit of Mt. St Helens and at soccer pick up.

Extremely Warm & Lightweight

Bought this jacket last winter and it functions incredibly well for light backpacking, and the winter in general. Is a great layer underneath, fits snug to the body, and is a nice fit. Very susceptible to tears though, which is expected I guess; regardless, it is a great jacket and serves as a great layer alone too.

Bulletproof for these chilly hiking evenings

Purchased this over the summer after doing some research and trying some of the competitors jackets. I wanted to get away from paying the steep price tag. Well after 3 chilly autumn hiking trips I am glad that I did get it. Coming down the chilly English hills late afternoon after a full day out, I couldn’t ask for anything more. Kept me really warm and snug, the hood didn’t let any of the cold breeze going down my “wet” back. For me, worth every penny if you are after a do-it-all jacket. Will defiantly be in my backpack while skying this winter as a warmer alternative to my Proton hoody on cold days.

J'ai deux exemplaire de la Cerium. Une pour le ski et une pour l'escalade.
C'est une doudoune légère et l'apport de chaleur et largement suffisant pour nos hiver alpin. J'avais peur de facilement détruire la membrane en escalade mais elle a été plutôt résistante jusque là. Je la conseille tout de même plus pour un usage hivernale ski ou casual. Ou alors sous une Gore tex pour de l'escalade.

Absolutely love this jacket. It's incredibly warm for how light it is. Feels like putting on a cloud. The cut is also very flattering for a puffy jacket. I'm 5'11" and about 180 lbs, with an athletic build. The jacket fits me like a glove. Even though it's puffy, it still looks sharp. So it can be used as a great mid layer or on its own. Highly recommended to anyone looking for something warm that is also ultra light and easily packable.

Super warm light down jacket

I bought this last winter.
This jacket is lightweight great material. I can use it in the 0-10 Celsius with one short sleeve tshirt inside. With windy condition, just need to add a windbreaker outside.
The only down side is when the jacket is folded to the small pack, which is super convenient to carry around in case, the hard tip of the down comes out.

The Cerium is Serious

I’ve slowly been building up my collection of Arc’teryx goodies over the past few years, and I’m glad to say I finally picked this bad boy up. My go-to for everything in the fall and winter has been my Atom LT, but decided to pick up something a little warmer for cooler winter trips and expeditions. The fit and feel is, as you would expect, perfect, and it packs away to nothing! It warms you up instantly, and would be great for those cool, wet mornings when you layer it under a hardshell like a Beta. If you’re thinking about getting anything from this brand, go for it; I’m grateful for every piece I own.

Versatile jacket!

I’ve had this jacket for a few years now and it has really served me well. I’ve hiked Alberta mountains and been caught in a blizzard, worn it cross country skiing in -30, and just worn it casually because it’s so light weight and comfortable
