Not fit for any real outdoor activity

I bought this for clipping to my harness to put on at the end of a climb and belaying from the top of the crag. I was surprised it was so flimsy, so have been really careful to not wear it actually climbing, but it ripped literally leaning against the rock. It’s so flimsy that in any outdoor setting you risk snagging on rocks, tree branches etc. It looks and feels great, and love the pack size, but it’s just not fit for any real outdoor activity.
I use this product for:Climbing, Mountaineering, Hiking

Hi James, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry that the Squamish Hoody didn’t hold up as expected. While our products are designed to be durable and perform well in the outdoors, they aren't indestructible and can be vulnerable to abrasions, rips, or tears in certain conditions. We’d be happy to take a closer look at the issue and encourage you to submit a Product Service Request so our After-Sales team can assist you further. Thank you again for reaching out. Lightweight, breathable, good addition to any pack

From backcountry skiing, cragging, alpine climbing to getting some drinks this is a layer I can not live without. Just enough to cut wind and give you a little extra layer but still incredibly breathable and stretchy enough it doesn’t get in the way. Packs down super small too so never have to make any extra room or exemptions for bringing it with on any activity.

:(

Ordered it online. As it is probably the cheapest jacket of the brand so I was honestly not expecting it to be great. I ordered a small one and still looked large. I am 5’4… 128 lb( even checking the size chart before purchasing it). Really thin jacket and it does not feel comfortable or nice. Not worth the investment. I ll have to return it unfortunately.

Super light and packable. A perfect addition for fast and light alpine rock days where a hardshell would be too much.

Never Leave Home Without This Jacket

This wind-shell is absolutely perfect. It is honestly one of the best pieces of equipment I own from Arc. Going for a hike where I might catch a chill on the summit, throw it in the pack. Colder day at the crag, throw it in the back. Gonna be sitting on a belay ledge and want to keep the wind from blowing my warmth away, pack it down into the chest pocket and clip it to the back of my harness. The weight, packability, durability and versatility are the main reasons to get this jacket. It weighs absolutely nothing. I almost always keep it in my back when going hiking or backpacking. Adding it to my rack is not even noticeable when I have a full rack on. I will always stuff it somewhere in my packs. It has held up to some serious abuse. Have had no issues with rock abrasion or any serious wear on the spots my pack rests on it. Colder weather, it is perfect to layer over an insulation layer like a proton or fleece. Warmer weather, getting to a summit or hanging on a belay and getting a cool breeze on a sweaty base layer, throwing this on quick keeps the chill off. The ability to pack it into its own pocket and the carabiner loop is such a nice feature for climbing. The DWR works enough to keep you dry in a light misting. Doesn't hold up to any serious rain storms, but this jacket isn't meant for those conditions. I will sometimes just grab this jacket and throw it on when it's raining to run to the store. It's probably my most used piece of gear from Arc'teryx. I have had it for over 2 years now and this jacket has shown no signs of needing to be replaced. Well worth the price.

Great Fit, great movability

My go to wind breaker. I actually have 2 now, it fits just right and still has room under for a thicker layer without looking too bulky, or limiting movability.
