Such a versatile little bag! I started wearing waist packs after a shoulder injury and struggled finding one that has the right size for my essentials while looking sharp and having an excellent quality. The Mantis 1 pack checks all those marks. The belt is thinner than other waist packs (which I love) but it's still sturdy. The depth of the pack doesn't look bulky (like other brands) but instead wonderfully sleek. I've bought one in an Arc'teryx store and then quickly purchased two more online. Love all the different color options, too. Great quality item!

Functional Bag for Everyday Use

I bought this pack a few months ago and it was really useful both while traveling and as an everyday bag! The separate pockets make it very easy to organize important items and the size of the bag is perfect for storing bulkier items as well. While traveling it was great that it could hold larger portable batteries for phones, phones, wallets, snack bars, keys, coins, etc. The zippers are very robust and zip very smoothly.

I bought this based on the measurements on the website being able to fit an iPad mini but my best guess is that I’m terrible at measuring, there’s no way a mini would ever fit in here. I used it during a 4 day concert weekend to hold a glasses case with sunglasses, a Thread wallet with 2 cards and my license, a small bag of ibuprofen, and a few other little things. I used a clip on the strap to hold my earplug case and a Nalgene bottle. I ended up ordering the next size up (Mantis 2) which came today and is a much better size for what I’d like to use it for. I’ll still keep the Mantis 1 for when I only need to a carry a few small things.

A lot to like, but too small for my XL size phone

I like this bag, it is comfortable and would probably fit my two phones, card case lipstick and keys that I need to carry at work. The problem is that my XL size smartphone is a complete struggle to get into and out of the bag which makes it very annoying to use and so I have given up on it. To bad, as I liked the colors and and the compartments and pockets.

I'm so surprised by how much I'm able to fit in this small waistpack. It's small yet holds my phone, a little notebook, keys, glasses, a small wallet, and a bunch of makeup products. I especially appreciate all the little compartments/pockets and zippers so I can organize everything. I also like the outside pocket on the back side of the waistpack, which fits my phone perfectly! I'm able to put my phone away securely without opening the bag. The material is durable although it does feel a bit heavy. If I have the pack full, it can be a bit too much for me to carry around. Bag fits more than you think with functional pockets. However, be careful of the material on the strap loops. It rubs against your clothes and causes extreme pilling. It looks like I snagged multiple shirts on Velcro because I had no idea when I was wearing this Fanny pack.

Durable material, good looking and water resistance. Shoulder strap is not too wide or narrow. Long enough to put it around shoulders or around the waist.
