Hello, I own several old atom and beta jackets in old small Sites that fit me perfectly (180cm, 67kg),. Recently I purchased a Atom in the new size, The new size fit just too tight and fit's like an extra small. The medium size is just to big, so it looks like you have to look for another brand. Very sadly

Just bought the Atom hoody jacket. The fabric feels absolutely fantastic. I wonder of the outer fabric will stay neat when I'm hiking with a backpack. I wear a size Large and this is, for me, a perfect fit even with my broad shoulders the jacket fits well. What's interesting is the breathability and insulation when you're having a walk or hike. It keeps you warm bit on the other hand, I wore it in a Stadium on a windy and chilly night and I got a bit chilly. I haven't had the chance to test the water resinstancy because it hasn't rained yet. For now a 5* review, but haven't experienced all weather conditions. But overall very happy with this jacket

Hi, I have 7 atoms in size small that fit me right old size, I purchased a atom and atom heavyweight in the new size don't fit just to tight fit's like extra small and the medium size is just to big, so it looks like you have lost a good customer who spends a lot of money on Arcteryx, dissatisfied with new sizes.

I've found the Proton to be a great jacket for warming up outdoors as I'm getting ready for a tour or a run. I've also found that it's a great piece for after run / hike piece when I'm hanging outside trying to cool down but not too fast. The light insulation takes the chill away from any wind but I know I get some airflow through the sides and under the armpits where it's stretchy and less insulated. It's also great to pair with a base layer when you start your ski tour but unless it's real cold out or really breezy, this can get a bit warm as a mid-layer as you start gaining some momentum. For living up in Edmonton and going camping, other than winter, this jacket is always in the car just in case I need something during the evenings / mornings or after that outdoor workout. For winter, I wouldn't use this as a standalone piece unless I was doing something active - I would prefer something with a bit more insulation for standing around in.

This jacket feels like the classic do everything piece. Warm but not too warm, weatherproof but not waterproof. Super durable piece that has lasted me years. Especially good as a walking around jacket for the city in the fall and spring. Only downside is that it is not super breathable for high output activities, otherwise it's perfect.

This jacket doesn’t get put away seasonally. I always seem to be reaching for it regardless of the season. It’s a durable jacket that is great for all activities. Climbing or skiing in particular, it can do it all. While it’s a bit warm for high output activities, it cuts the chill anytime you’re not going all out. The feel and cut are great, which is part of why I’m always wearing it and works for me casually as well. Such a versatile jacket!

On winter you will need another jacket on top of it because you will feel cold. Better buy thicker ones insulation for more comfort. In the long run fits losing. Very poor material and fabric so breathability is none sense.

Jacket is awesome, very warm and light. Hoody covers entire head and fits true to size.

First time wearing a backpack with this jacket and the fabric bunched together from normal friction and leave your lovely smooth looking jacket frayed and bunched up tattered and out of shape. I've had the same issue with two Arcteryx items now where I've found the material to be extremely fragile. My conclusion is Arcteryx clothing is for street wear fashion, NOT for any outdoors activities which will expose them to friction or rough surfaces . I feel as though I was misold a product for the outdoors that is not robust enough for even the friction of a lightweight hiking backpack.

My Atom Hoody has become a go-to in my gear rotation. Whether I'm running or commuting. Its versatility lets me layer up or wear it solo with confidence. I’m also a big fan of the SoulSonic colorway. For fit, function, and range, it’s a top pick.

Have the Black/Soul/Electra jacket in XL. Super comfortable and versatile. But not impressed with the overall quality. Already noticing discolouring in the interior neckline of the jacket. This has only been worn on walks and everyday use. Not for climbing boulders. Not impressed overall and would appreciate a generous discount code and exchange for a fresher piece. Considering the price, I am disappointed. Photos can be provided upon request.

Jacket is great for any season as it can be worn in the summer on cool mornings or on days as an insulation piece when it gets close to freezing.

Excellent jacket from a materials and quality perspective, but the revised fit has hurt what made the old jacket special. I get that you've modified your clothes to offer more inclusive sizing, but as an individual with broad/muscular shoulders and arms I find it incredibly difficult to find clothing that actually fits comfortably in the chest/arms without looking like a dress around the waist (even with the cinch cord). The old Arcteryx Atom jacket was perfect, and I know that there are many people out there who came to love Arcteryx for that very reason, the uncompromising fit for those athletic individuals who use the gear for its intended purpose (climbing, skiing, mountaineering) and I feel that the old fit is what truly set the brand apart from the competition. I know that there are many others who feel this same way. I understand the difficult position whereby the brand needs to design a fit that will sell product, however in my opinion with the rise of weight loss drugs such as Ozempic and the increasing prevalence of gym culture among today's youth, I believe there will be more people who share my opinion in the coming years. A potential solution: Offer your best selling pieces (Atom, Proton, Cerium, Alpha, Beta, Thorium, Gamma, Delta) in both a revised fit (regular) and the old fit (slim). That way everybody can get the fit that works for them in the product they want, and I'm confident you move enough volume in those pieces (certainly the atom) to justify the additional product line. Second Atom - seems to be sized a bit larger in the XL than a few years ago but still a good fit. Cuts wind better than you'd expect. The 2-tone looks way better in person than I thought it would, pretty boss colour combo.

I like this a lot except that the colour wears off. A bit disappointing given the price. Colour is enigma.

Love this jacket, it provide warm when it needs. I was on the East coast bouldering and it was windy and brisk... perfect bouldering temperature. I climb with the jacket, it is light and flexible which make it feel right for movement.

After not even 4 weeks, the collar is worn out and damaged on the inside. I’ve only worn the jacket to go grocery shopping, no long tours whatsoever. Store employees swear to never have seen this, customer service says it is my fault. They insinuated my beard is at fault, but I don’t wear one :) Such a “technical” jacket is not built to withstand such light use, if I am interpreting their mail correctly. However, they presented a generous offer of 40% to buy the jacket again. I mean… what could possibly go wrong? No question this was my last item from arcteryx

Material damaged at the inside of the collar after not even 4 weeks of little use (never longer than 30 min). Honestly not acceptable for the price. Fit is on point though
