Joey and the Magic Boot
Soft-hearted Arc’teryx design team member Brittany Crook met up with Whistler resident Joey, a mixed breed dog currently being fostered out during his time at the Whistler Animal Shelter run by WAG (Whistler Animals Galore).
Neglected at his original home, Joey suffered a broken paw which was never treated and as a result healed at an unnatural angle, without the main pad. To compensate for his injuries, Joey learned to walk on three legs.
The foster family is working with Joey to restore him to his natural gait and asked Brittany if she could help out.
Happily, she did and Joey is now outfitted with a functional and stylish leather/GORE-TEX®/powerstretch/mesh boot, good for all Whistler weather.
In the meantime, Joey is still in need of a good home and help with his medical costs
