An Expedition to Gannett Peak
Last month, we put out a call to all of you out there doing amazing things in Arc'teryx gear, asking you to share your stories and photos with us. We've gotten some great responses, and already published ones from Alex and Martina. Today, it's Kellen's turn.
Kellen is a Bio/Pre-Med major at Saint John's University in Minnesota, and this Fall, he'll be studying abroad in Patagonia with the Round River Conservation Studies program. For years, he'd wanted to climb Gannett Peak, and so in July, he and his dad did just that.
On this five-day expedition, they brought a Beta AR Jacket and Pants, a Theta AR Jacket, Perimeter Pants and Shorts, an Ether Crew LS, and an X-350A Harness. They used two of our packs, the Bora 95 and the Altra 65, to carry it all. Now that's one impressive Arc'teryx kit!
Kellen came back from this adventure with some beautiful pictures, and we've put a few of them in an album on our Facebook page. You can see the rest of on his Flickr stream, and a cool video of the trip on his YouTube channel.
As we've said before, one of the best parts of what we do is the community of amazing people who go to the most beautiful places in the world, come back with unforgettable experiences, and bring our gear along for the ride. Thank you!
